It looks like it is not an actual scam, and the coin is probably being deliberately 'unhyped' to keep it's distribution limited to long term investors and the market for which it is planned.
it is positioned to do well when crypto turns up and its only real weakness is that it is on Bittrex.
Money is still being invested in developing it obviously https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NeuCoin and long term it is probably a better coin than most. A longterm investor would probably do well to buy some and take it off Bittrex. I own a small fraction of a btc worth and consider it less risky long term than most coins in that market cap range.

Nobody cares about something like that if the entire project is doomed because of it's zero-innovative tech (just copy-paste) and it's totally crazy (fraud) economical-design. You can ignore it like everybody else who bought into this - and that is one reason why there is nearly nobody left. Just a few guys who are deeply disappointed and frustrated. Most likely not even 20 ppl.
Btw: The post above is totally in line what I've seen from Neucoin since launch - just sand in the eyes. Never I've seen replies on fundamental points that were pointed out in this thread. If you go back to the posts of october, november and december of 2015, you'll see: The disaster was predicted.

3. Imagine you are a Developer for games: Why the hell should you damage you credibility and the potential of your product with a project like this?
The initial supply for the public was 100,000,000
The initial total supply was 3,000,000,000
This Coin went public a few days ago, and now there are already: 3,051,455,976 Coins!
+ 51.4 Mio Coins! That's more than 50% they sold in the public ICO!
Think about that! This project has absolutely no chance. It has no chance as a Scam and it has no chance as a legit project. And btw: How can this be legit?
What I don't get is: How stupid this is! I mean, it's much smaller than Paycoin but worse. It's so unprofessional. They worked 1 1/2 years on a project and this is the result? The group behind will make little money out of it, maybe they'll even lose money. But without any doubt they'll lose every bit of credibility. And maybe they'll have to face some legal consequences. Maybe not, because nobody seems to be interested... ;-)

I know. Sometimes I look into their forum. But something like that is nothing but sand in the eyes. I mean, does anybody play it and if yes, why? Neucoin is in fact dead since launch and even before, because: Extreme premine, hyper-inflation, no innovation, no communication from the team, no progress, broken promises and so on. It's economical design is a pyramid-scheme. And it can't be rescued. I know that some dream of a community-take-over. But it wouldn't make any sense.
And it hasn't even a community. Just a few guys who try to hide their frustration. The Neucoin-Forum is like a parallel-universe in Crypto. On all fronts pop up very innovative projects and everything is very dynamic while for Neucoin it seems as if the time is frozen. And those who still believe in it - that's just because they are invested and can't get over the loss. I honestly feel sorry for them because my impression is that the Neucoin-team blinded unexperienced people - but the warnings were there and also before launch.

Dartius put on $3000 worth, which could have been worth $7,561.98 today if he had never heard of Dan Kauffman, or had the good sense to listen to the honorable gentlemen who assembled on this thread and tried to warn everyone that Neucoin stunk to high heaven.
But Dart didn't listen. He said we spread FUD. James too. Poor big fat lovable dumb naive James kept throwing more money in.
Today, instead of $7,561.98 worth of Bitcoin, Dart has $189 worth of illiquid Neucoin that he'd be lucky to dump for $25. James is planning a community take over and hoping for a miracle.
