Hi there people, I bought into NXT back in 2014. Recently I was told to just download the latest NXT client and enter my passphrase/seed and sync and I will find my NXT tokens.Now a day or two ago i received an email saying that MYNXT closed on 31 Dec. So have i lost my tokens from THE ORIGINAL NXT BLOCKCHAIN.Anyone here can please help me with this query.
Is there anyone on this forum that knows the answer to my query. I posted some while ago.Do any of the NXT devs provide help in this forum.Will be glad if your'll can help.

You bought around the time of the fork.. so either you bought right before and, depending on the exchange, you'll get "free" IGNIS that will help recover your loss, or you bought after and.. I don't think you'll get your money back.
Yes, the rise was because people wanted their free IGNIS, there was no other reason.

The time of your entry into NXT was not suitable at all. Common error of all crypto newbies when they follow their emotions and gamble with no knowledge of the coin's history. I would advice to trade using wave patterns.

Maybe now we are starting to recover around all the altcoins, today market is opened with positive signal, but this large and big drop surely is drammatic for all the people entered on the market at high price. HODL and never sell in loss.

Is NXT useless now? I didn't follow the IGNIS part of stuff, I just noticed NXT lost almost 75% value from the peak. Will it slowly die or is it a good time to accumulate?
I think it is. Long time ago I asked people what will happen to NXT after Ardor and IGNIS are out. Nobody could give me a good answer for why it would not wither away after IGNIS snapshot period is over.

I lost my faith in Nxt, I bought it around $ 1.50, and lately the price hovered around $ .0. I think I might not be able to get out and I hope people in the community can give me some strength

NXT this coin has a very good technology, but the team's marketing is a bit worse and the sub chain ARDOR is developing well. Such a reasonable price, I am ready to go in stud!!! 
nxt just lacks a reason for an outburst, and until then I will buy it on a regular basis because all the market value of digital currencies is on the rise, and it will not lag too much

What NXT supporters can do concretely? I heard that some of the tokens (assets and currencies) issued on the NXT blockchain have still some use. So what you can do, if you like to see NXT flourishing again, is to support the projects that still use it for (crowd)funding purposes.
Or, if you want to start an ICO, consider using NXT instead of Ethereum. It's easier and you will even have much lower transaction costs.
But if nobody supports NXT, then eventually it will be worth much less than now. It's a decentralized technology and depends on user contributions. The opinion of some users that "the devs" have to do everything, is not really crypto-style, it's the style of the "old economy" with centralized, hierarchic businesses.

I finally understand why people are complaining that those who missed 2 dollars to sell friends, it is difficult to calm nxt fell to 0.4 US dollars

Do you believe NXT will have any utility in the future or do you think everyone will try to circumvent cutting in nxt holders?
I'm pretty skeptic. I think Ardor is the successor of NXT. That means that NXT will eventually get marginalized if it isn't able to build an own ecosystem. Everybody that wants to invest in NXT and want to see its value grow, should look if he/she can do something to encourage its real-world usage - for example, as an ICO platform, like Jelurida is planning.Otherwise, I see no way for NXT to hold its current value (temporary "hypes" or "pumps" aside). I would clearly choose Ardor for long-term investments.

Yes, if you fork 1.11.6+ then the JPL is valid and the 10% would have to be distributed. But older versions use the GPL, and as far as I know 1.11.6 has no drastic improvements over 1.11.5.
