Thanks. And for long-term holders, about the new ardor platform, will we have to install it instead of the NXT one ? I mean to serve as a unique wallet for NXT, ARDR, IGNIS and so on.

The snapshot should have taken place. I transfered my nxt to the desktop client. This morning my balance is zero. Is it normal ? What does nxt holders have to do to get their ignis (and their nxt back)

according to here

https://www.nxter.org/

2 hours 30 minutes left

where exactly?

I just bought a little back (at even cheaper than I sold) using my profit, for the fun of it. Those who sold at its highest made a pretty good deal, I'd say.

snapshot is already created?
can i sold my nxt now?

Not Yet !

NXT Block is 1636186

But how do you know the current block? (other than from NXT's blockchain monitor, that is)
Edit: ah I see, the tx monitor sometimes works. Too bad for me.

when you'll see a giant red bar in your exchange, you will know.

Here I'm still enjoying the show. I don't think anyone really knows, since the portal is broken under the load. Maybe it even has happened already.

for those who are in for the ignis drop.

just make a stop loss order in bittrex to protect you from the drop

It is so not gonna protect you.

But let's take the bet - please post, once done, the gap between your stop order price & the price at which it actually sold. It'll be quite interesting for everyone. We will also compare this to the rebound price (if any).
It'd be interesting to do some stats, if others wanna share their sell price, whether it's manual or automatic. Obviously some will be lucky & be at the top of the stop loss cascade. Some won't.

I don't have much invested, I may be testing both stop loss & manual sell, I'll see what worked best, as an experiment.
And, perhaps some here have ALREADY sold thanks to their stop order placed too high. Would be interesting to know as well.

i bought in at 7500. now it is 8500 i dont see it crashing to 7300 until the snapshot. so i created a stop loss order at 7300. lets see if it will be able to sell at 7300 at the crash.
that would mean i will have 1k ignis tokens and going to lose around 3% of my inital investment in nxt if my stop loss is succesful

I bought @850 and have no intention to dump as in my view NXT will blossom in next year. Plenty of real businesses are interested in NEXT platform.

well it is because you have x10 of profits already.
but if you gonna start today. i doubt you would buy nxt at this current prices.

And I'm afraid I'm out of the game, I wanted to sell half of what I bought, sold it all by mistake. Well, still with a profit...

Really?
First, it was way below 0.000073 only a few hours ago - but ok, at this moment that doesn't seem that risky anymore.

But 0.000073 is where you placed your stop trigger, now which price did you set to sell? That's quite important, because it is NOT gonna be 0.000073. Zero chance that it will. It may be as low as 0.00003 or something. And if you set your sell price to the same as your trigger, then it simply won't be executed at all - guaranteed.

I wouldn't know where to put sell price. Generally there is a rebound, but from what I read here, NXT would be useless after IGNIS. Well if that's true, then no rebound. But would you really sell at 0.00003? Or even 0.00001 (that's pretty realistic, it was there just 1 month ago)? That's not much, you may as well hold.

put my sell at 7300. then conditional less than or equal to 7450 just to be sure.

i expect it to drop big time. so i will still wait for the actual dump just to be sure i would be able to sell

I think the dumpis inevitable after the snapshot, the price went up because of the free ignis tokensand there is no incentive to hold NXT tokens over Ardor after the snapshot, great advice IMO

It is of course unevitable. The question is whether it will protect you or not.

At least Bittrex's stop loss is a stop-limit, that's already much better. But where do YOU draw your limit?

Consider that most have bought between 0.00005 and 0.00014. You can imagine that many have placed their stop.. between 0.00005 and 0.000014. And you can already imagine that the downtrend has been from these stops triggered & cascading.
Really, I'd be curious to know if anyone here has already sold from his stop order, had to re-buy (or didn't).

I know that even at this time if I place a stop, it may be triggered before the drop, by a cascade of other people's stop.

How are order books & the price moving this much on Bittrex if they have locked trading? I don't get it. API trading still working?

Bittrex haven't locked trading, not yet.

They certainly have for me, at the time of my post I already couldn't place an order.
What trading platform are you using? I am using Bittrex and I can still place a Buy and Sell order. What Bittrex did was lock any external Withdrawals and Deposits of NXT. Are you using the NXT wallet itself and you plan to transfer to another wallet? I think that kind of transaction for now is on hold but trading NXT is still working.
