typical master node coins can be pow/pos or just pos however the pos % is split up say 80% goes to masternodes and only 20% goes to normal stakers so it pays off more to have a masternode!

@everyone thank you for your participation in our poll. After some discussions we decided that 1.000.000 OPC will be needed for an MN. Here is why: The Masternode will kick in after 1500% APR, if you look at the Richlist on our Blockexplorer you can clearly see that there will be more than 300 Masternodes in the network at the beginning. This is not the goal of an Masternode, a Masternode should be some exclusiveness and a price stabilization of course.
