I've just pushed a patch adding the NTP (Network Time Protocol) support for precise time synchronisation. The next patch will do a dual threaded stake miner. We shall have a new release after that.

List of Orbitcoin mining pools with live stats & hashrate distribution

https://miningpoolstats.stream/orbitcoin
do not use TBF (the first listed), according to frontend their daemon is on incorrect chain and almost 6 months without valid minted block, users are not able to change payout settings (wallet, min amount) because there is also an error in the website and every try to change settings or do manual payout gives back this:
Fatal error: Uncaught BitcoinClientException:
  • : Connect error: Connection refused (111) thrown in Unknown on line 0

and there is still no answer from the pool operator. The same their FTC pool does (stucked on old block without updated daemon to the latest compatible) and frozen stats on frontend for almost 6 months.

No surrender, no retreat, no regret.
Greetings. I've a problem setting up Orbitcoin on yiimp.

The chain is synced (and re-downloaded multiple times), but when trying to submit a block I see
Code:
ERROR: CheckBlock() : merkle root verification failed
ERROR: ProcessBlock() : CheckBlock() FAILED

Any suggestions?

There are a few ways to send a block to the daemon. How do you do it?

Haven't opened my desktop wallet in 2 weeks. I open it today, and it consistently loads the splash, then disappears, and closes in the background. I cannot get it to run, at all.

Take a look at your debug.log for the reason.

best pool for minig coin Huh
here are pools that still support direct ORB mining and are synchronized correctly:
yiimp.eu (2% fee, min payout 0.01 ORB)
aikapool.com (1% fee, min payout 1 ORB)

multipools:
mining-dutch.nl (2% fee, min payout 0.0001 ORB)
zpool.ca (1.75% fee, min payout 0.05 ORB)
zergpool.com (0.5% fee, min payout is equivalent of 0.0001 BTC)

do not use TBF pool. It is not correctly synchronized (more than 3 months now) and it is unable to change/set payout wallet and limits. Pool operator has not fixed it yet.

We're still mining ORB: http://pool.hashrefinery.com/site/gomining?algo=neoscrypt

Fee is currently 0.5% for neoscrypt.  Payout every 8 hours for balances above 0.005.

Would be nice to have an auto splitter like Hyperstake.  Grin

You can use the settings stakecombine and stakesplit (orbitcoin.conf)

stakecombine=50
stakesplit=100

Combines small inputs into at least 50 ORB and once it reach 100 ORB
it will split into 2 x 50 ORB (you can change the numbers).

yep, do you have any advice how to organise inputs for better ORB staking? 1 big input or several smaller? eg 10000 ORB in 1 tx or divided to txs per 100-1000 ORB in 1 wallet. I do not have big amount but I have never obtained any POS block in my ORB wallet. TZC and RDD POS wallets are doing well but ORB nothing in my case.

I would advice several smaller inputs (you need at least 20 ORB in your wallet) try inputs with a minimum of 50, bigger inputs will stake faster.

Several 10-thousands of ORB  Smiley

cool  Wink

I'm a holder, no dump from me, only long term thinking.
I started 4+ years ago with buying my first ORB.
Since then i'm staking ORB and it gives me thousands of extra (free!) ORB so far.
Even now the reward halved it's worth to hold ORB.
I.m.o. Orbitcoin is one of the best coins to hold and stake!

Next to that, Ghostlander is a great dev (all those years!)
