Do i understand correctly that every gamer should buy a game activation key. This key is checked by the miner to get acces to the games?

isn't this service subscription based? it is on playkey.net

It is, but you still have to buy games (most of them, especially the new ones) that you want to play.
most likely have to buy only onlain games where you need an account on the network. Solitary companies, I think, do not need to buy.

Its nice to know that PLAYKEY leverages the power of existing gaming hardware to enable other players to enjoy games that were exclusive only to selected few. Smiley

If i already have a game i can use my license, right?

It depends I guess. It seems that you can play games you bought on Steam. If you bought your games somewhere else, it COULD not work. Not sure.

Hmm how good it possible to play multiplayer games, which need some kind of ·response capacity.
The latence should be quite high since the cloud is involved.

That is a good question, usually, all the power is done by the miner which will host the game, but about the internet connection?mmm, well perhaps you will need minimum connection requirements for each game, the ones that play in solo mode will be fine, but the multiplayer ones will ask you to have a better connection, don't know.

I would say that if you will be able to play single player and will meat the recommended internet speed of 15 mbs, you should be fine also with multiplayer version of the game.

I think if you want to play multiplayer games in a very competitive way, it can be the delay is not going to help you ( better to wait official answers anyway), but i'm not sure as i had not the chance to try any of the multiplayer games provided.

Forget it. You just CAN'T play multiplayer games in a competitive way with cloud gaming. Like you said, the delay will just kill you :-)

Yes, you can't play call of duty or so but you can play turn-based strategies Smiley It will depend on the game.

Maybe you can play multiplayer playkey exclusive servers. If everybody has the same delay, everybody would play with equal conditions. But i am not sure is it possible.

If you are hardcore gamer you will probably stick to regular gaming equipment etc. I think the use case is more for casual gamer and people who want to play games from time to time, not competitive. For me for example, I would like to play Civilization 6, but can't as my hardware is not good enough :/ Playkey would be great here.

Don't forget the possibilities to use this on TVs which are able to connect to the internet I think interest would be high for this.

Indeed!
The only problem should be a good remote! I'm sure they can get a nice partnership for making controls for playing games on internet tv's Smiley.
Glad I have found this project! This is and will be a game changer in the gaming industry.
Just need to make a joystick that will connect with smart TV and be configured on the platform itself
Does anybody know if it's possible to connect a PC controller to a smart TV? If that's possible they will only need to make an app for smart TVs.

I am not sure about it but I could imagen that it is possible to. I myself have no smart TV, but you can install stuff there etc pp or? So it should be able to install something to use your wireless controller on it.

Yes  it's possible. Apple TV could work as the player and the iPhone could function as a controller.
For android it's the same, if you have a SmartTV, most of the units have bluetooth so connecting a bluetooth gamepad is easy

Exciting times Smiley

Indeed a great preview on how the platform will work.
I'm really excited about this! I'm sure I will join this platform as soon its released.

I've been away from games for some time now but now with this project I really want to get back into gaming Cheesy

The return about players with playkey solution are very good, I see a lot of people test with a not so good laptop or computer and they said that games work really well and fast. Its really a good things for the future of playkey and the ico !

I ran it on an old laptop with 4GB of RAM and the i5 M560 works very fast! In demo, the resolution is only 1280x720 but the control response is instantaneous, just as if the game was started locally.

It's really impressive. These are medium settings? What is your internet speed

I put out high quality, but it's at such a small resolution that almost does not affect the image. The speed of the Internet greatly influences. Management is excellent, but sometimes the image does not have time to load, squares are obtained. This is at speeds up to 70 mbps. On the site, it's recommended to connect via cable, but I'm through wi-fi.
wi-fi as far as I know, laptops are limited to 54 Mbit, although in most cases this speed should be enough.
PLAYKEY platform offers a good solution, it will be very useful
This is still really impressive. I'm curious if in the future Playkey will be able to stream games from Xbox/PS4?  Cool
In Witcher 3 on a mobile video card. It's just ridiculous.

No, Playkey will never be able to stream XBOX / PS4 exclusive games.

Since it is only a videostream, the graphic card on your mobile device (or whatever), doesn't matter. So it is not a big deal. Actually almost all cloud gaming services offer it. Check out LiquidSky, Vortex etc.

You are right. Turn-Based-Strategy is one of the few things you probably could play competitively.

Regarding own servers - Nope it isn't possible. Well, basically the game would need to offer software / "server"-mode to run an own server. In the past, it was not unusual. In Quake 3, Minecraft and several other games, that was possible. Nowadays, almost no one is offering a way to host their own server.

No, i don't mean owning servers, I think about they can make arrangements to service providers, for example with 20 servers they open, they open one exclusive server for playkey. Server provider will be the same but it makes some exclusive ones for playkey. Again I am not sure it is an applicable thing but if it can happen, that would be nice.

Ah, I see. It still won't work :-) Companies won't be willing to put exclusive servers online. Multiplayer games depend on a lot of currently playing gamers, so you don't have to wait long between rounds + decent matchmaking. If you create a server only for PlayKey, it is very likely that these 2 points won't be satisfied.

Token Sale starts at November the 1st, but - hey! - we are already ready to show you how the Playkey Decentralized Cloud Gaming Platfrom works! Really!

This is our first prototype and it works: now you can see what our system will be looking like in the eyes of users.

In short, on this video you can watch a miner adding his server to the system, where it registers and shows the availability of servers for gaming.
The client chooses a game and a server, on which he or she would like to play. Next step is the process of connecting and then gaming. PКT passes from the client's account to the miner's one in real time.

Like our posts, share the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQUwcQBb9Is

If the miner turns off his server from your service, will all players lose touch with the games?

Yes, the gamers that currently playing that game on that server would be disconnected. But there is technically no way to prevent that. If you talk to a friend on the phone and suddenly his phone breaks, you are disconnected too :-)
But will there be a precaution for that? or is it just going to be a risk for players?

I think there will be some rules in regard with such possibility. The miners should get a penalty and if they keep doing it, playkey can remove them from the platform.

Yep, I suppose that is how it will work. It just make sense. On most of the other platforms, the server provider improve with server uptime etc. their reputation over time and get more and more "work" to do.

Since saved games will be saved in a cloud, it can just automatically reconnect to another miner and loads your saved files. Ok, you will still be interrupted but at least it will be a reminder to take a brake which some gamers forget about.
