Weekly Polis (10/15 to 10/21)
Polis CoreWe are very glad to release the v1.4.3 for the Polis Core Official Wallet!
This version is mandatory for everyone who wants to keep supporting the Polis Core Team.
This release will change the protocol from Proof-of-Work to Proof-of-Stake, bumping the protocol to 70211 and rejecting nodes with a protocol below 70210 (v1.2.2 and below). Protocol 70210 and wallets on v1.3.0+ will be supported until the PoS hardfork.
Useful staking information is also shown in the Overview tab of the wallet, a refined feature introduced in v1.4.2.
- The block selected for the hard fork is 209720, on October ~25th, 2018.
- Please update your wallets before the hard fork so you don't have any issues.
- The ideal and recommended way to store your Polis is to keep them in your wallets in case anything happens in the exchanges.
- For any questions that you might have, please go to our Discord Server's general-support channel.

PolisPayPolisPay Team- The team is working in perfeting small details of the app, but as we said in last week's Weekly Polis, the core features are ready.
- Internal testing continues.
- As a reminder, we'd like to say that for the people that have the previous version of the app, we'll publish steps on how to make the transition when the new version is live.
PolisPay Beta- This week, Beta Testers will recieve their cards and will help us with user testing of the app and use of the cards.
Community Management & Outreach- We've been working on an update to the Whitepaper and Roadmap. Sometime this week these will be up, hopefully in the same time the hard fork is done.
- We've been working on a Polis Wiki. The web site is up but we'll be posting new content through time.

The Polis CommunityDiscord Server- Thanks to community member Hans We now have a Polis Tipbot! This will allow the community to tip other members of the community easily and fast! If you have any questions, feel free to ask Hans at the Discord Server.

Polis Ghana Team- The Polis Ghana Team shared with us this last week:
"Due to our one-on-one campaign lunch the Polis Ghana team storm Olympic arena bar and restaurant to evangelize about Polis and blockchain technology. Individual were taught the basic of Polis what Polis is where to get some from and how to invest in Polis among others for 10 minutes for each group. Some were convince to join our social media platform to learn more. Others too were directed to the Polis website for them to learn more themselves. One guy who was able to tell us the ethos of Polis: for the people by the people was given free Polis branded T-shirt."
