I really hope you're right because the iamstevenico twitter feed said 4 times that you need them. Even if I'm wrong which I hope I am because it's punishment enough for you to hold a currency quantitatively eased by $20 billion a month. And then you miss 6 months of purchasing invoices.

The iamstevenico twitter said that you need to have populous tokens to be a lender on the platform. That makes them a utility token and not a security. Same is true for veritaseum you need at least 1 token.  Smiley

I hope this is incorrect I wouldn't want anyone to miss out.

HAHA, you don't need PPT tokens to do anything on the platform. The entire hype with the PPT token was it was supposed to offer holders a small advantage by giving preference to bidding. But seeing how all this time there are still no invoices to bid, the PPT token is worthless.

A smart person that wants to buy invoices and get passive income would just deposit Fiat and bid on some invoices. FIAT does not drop 80% in a month.....

SemiSeriousInvestor I may be wrong in my understanding but I don't think PPT has to be used to buy an invoice.

The way I understood it, whatever currency is used to buy an invoice is directly converted into poker via an external broker.

I guess they could use something like MAKERDAO to make it auditable at any time.

So yeah in that scenario if PPT was used it would be sold immediately.

I love the project idea but always thought the PPT token was totally useless.

But hey, didn't follow what's going on for the last 6 months...

You are absolutely correct. You can buy an invoice with any currency. That's why the PPT token is complete bullshit. Fanboys think the PPT token is some type of equity sharing in profits. LOL

The only reason why the PPT token was issued and handed out to investors is because Steve had to give investors something...anything...so people would willingly part with their money. If people really took the time to understand what the PPT token is and what it actually brings, they would realize its worthless. Populous could be successful and the PPT token would still be worthless.

Pokens are backed by the profit made from the invoice transaction. In that essence they are yield and any financial institution only carries value if it provides yield. There is not an infinite supply only a supply backed by successful transactions that can then be traded for other crypto or fiat since the platform was paid by providing a service. This is invoice trading 101. This is how banks are supposed to work not that trash where Wells Fargo signs people up for loans without the person given the loan knowing about it or endless derivatives.

The benefit is you don't need to pay fees to exchange between fiats. 1 dollar is not being lended out 10 times like in fractional reserve banking you can see what happens on the blockchain. If something happens that you don't like, by all means divest.

Populous tokens are locked up in the platform for the duration of the invoice and used to purchase invoices at a discounted rate. You also have the issue of the investor not wanting to part with an asset that produces yield for them. Because of all of this I don't take your lack of an argument seriously.

Dude, you're just making up shit as you go along. Steve has said in numerous interviews that as soon as any fiat gets deposited into the platform whether it be USD, EURO, GBP, Yuan....it gets immediately converted into a Poken. Therein lies the rub. How the hell do those Pokens stay pegged to their respective currencies? Steve says the Pokens are backed up 1:1 with deposits. Is Populous going to do routine audits to show us those Pokens actually have backing? I doubt it. This is like Tether times 100x.......

None of you guys can even provide any sound logical arguments refuting any of this. All you have is " Don't worry, Just keep on Believing"....

WTF???
Every poken HAS to be backed by a GBP. Why? Because the invoice seller gets the pokens which get almost immediately cashed out for GBP. Invoice sellers aren't paying their bills with pokens. The site and business would fail if there was not GBP available to withdraw.

They say the same thing about Tether

Hope all you fellow PPT holders are getting onboarded on their site for KYC purposes cause a new contract will be launching in a week or so. And many more after that.

Just max out your bills then pay them off with cryptos later. The only way fiat works is pointing a gun to your head. If you live your life in fear you will be a cuck that goes nowhere. Bow down and cuck to banksters get robbed by inflation and no interest savings for the elderly. How it stands no old person can pay their bills anyways because fiat is a ponzi scheme. Inflation is real.

Fortunately I'm a debt free 20something engineer aerospace auditor. Young and investing in the future. How rare is fiat? It's not rare or valuable enough to save you. Learn to grow your own food and buy into trustless assets like cryptos, silver, and gold.

All fiat currencies return to their intrinsic value of zero. -Voltaire

False. Moonassets.io

I don't want a lambo though not a good investment. You can even pay your taxes with them in a few states.

Next time you or your family needs to go to the Hospital for an Emergency, make sure you whip out your PPT tokens.....

Max trade volume on bitpopulous in a day $30 million. No 6.6 billion  Kiss I only convert to usd when I'm prepared to lose everything when fiat goes to 0.

You drank way too much of that Koolaid man. Pretty sure the Lambo dealer only takes Fiat. And the gas station where you fill up your Lambo only takes Fiat. And the place where you get your Lambo's oil changed and serviced only takes Fiat too.

$6 in November and $20 now. That's over 3x profit. I think I'll buy more so village idiot semi yells at the clouds.

I scored 6.6 billion and am looking toward 35x multiplication. Its 198 billion usd in profits, and that came off a single trade done right! Where have u been, man? All of us, smart gainers, have done well and made billgates-sized fortunes through trading populous, now is a binge time. We are getting ourselves into opium-fueled champagne-sprinkled self-indulgent play with elite whores, that is the pay for our hard work in the markets. Oh man what a ride it was, I still feel it through piles of cash laying around the floor in my garage.

Then it will go away forever and become vaporware like bitcoin did. *banksters crossing fingers* You will be able to hold hands and sing with Jamie Dimon if that happened.

Pretty sure Bankers could give a crap about Populous. If you fools hold the right coins, bankers will make you rich this year as Institutional money pours in. Sadly PPT isn't one of them.
