You cannot send coins to a different chain. After the block where the fork happened, you have two separate chains

Question:

Is it posible to send money from old Quazarcoin (let's say minergate's one) to new QCN (forknote version?).

I've tried to send 1 QCN from HitBTC (I think it is the old version QCN since I could sent QCN from old version quazarcoind to HitBTC), however I didn't received yet that 1 QCN into my Forknote version Address. HitBTC Withdrawal says it is okay.

Now I've tried inverse to try, from Forknote QCN address (1 QCN) to HitBTC and 1 QCN to Quazarcoin GUI Wallet (running on windows).

BTW: old quazarcoind says
2017-Aug-31 14:08:24.582416 [P2P4][172.27.1.56:23080 OUT]Sync data returned unknown top block: 844593 -> 828962 [15631 blocks (-21 days) ahead]

¿??¿??¿?

Thanks in advance.-

The last 2 days I had some issues with the pool, Payments have not been sent out yet, I am still trying to get things stabilized.

The pending balances will be paid just that they will be paid after I stabilize the daemons.

I will also be updating forknote to 2.6.1 maybe things will be more stable. The pool should still be considered beta, that is why the pool fee will remain 0.

I am already working on making the block explorer functional, also I am working on putting the pool on a multi node cluster.

Thank you for understanding

UPDATE: All payments have been sent out now

UPDATE: Blockchain explorer is working now, it should be considered beta, it might have some glitches here and there but largely it should work right. http://qcn.virtual-coins.ga/#blockchain_blocks, Also all the links are now pointing to the correct blockchain explorer.

The pool does not work. There are no payments.

If someone have other name suggestions write them as Reply (or here). I will create a new pool afterwards.

I would stick to "Quazarcoin", or if not, switch to some brand new (related) name... for example "Pulsar(coin)", "Red Dwarf (coin)" or something like that Cheesy
Options like "Quazarcoin Classic" (one of the options in the poll) would be more appropriate for the Minergate's chain, although we know they will not change the name of "their" Quazarcoin Smiley

Hello everyone.
Few weeks ago I've started a new Quazarcoin (Forknote based) mining pool.
If you want to mine on this pool, the data are these.
Site: qcn.pools.e-scavo.net.ar
Fee: 0.5% (just to maintain online the pool)
Payouts every 30 minutes
Min Payment: 0.100 QCN.

I mine on that pool with 1.5KH/s right now and planning to add more hashing power by reusing old cards.

Thanks

EDITED: We switched daemon from old one to Forknote.

There is a good new not related to QCN but important. Dashcoin developers blockchain is being used by cryptopia and minergates blockchain is not being used as they support developers blockchain.

I hope this can be done with QCN as well. it's also a very good coin, Can any developer or senior member apply for coin in cryptopia as well.

For me to better understand so you are suggesting 2.1.0 daemon and 2.0.6.1 simple wallet?

Is my understanding correct?

Thank you

v 2.1.0 is stable and you can use both daemon and simplewallet

Thanks SLB, I will try it out.

typo. A new version of forknote v2.0.6.1236 and I have it installed. Mining to the new address. The payment from the pool was gone but it did not come to the purse. why?

There is problem with reset in the last stable version.
You can use simplewallet from this version to get the reset properly works:
https://github.com/forknote/forknote/releases/tag/2.0.6.1
Do not use the deamon from this version because there are serious bugs in it
There will be new stable release today

Hi SLB,

The pool is with forknote 2.4(I switched it back from 2.6) because somehow it was accepting the minergate fork blocks and I believe after they were all accepted it was switching by itself to that fork.

I might not be able to explain the way but that was what I have seen.

For me to better understand so you are suggesting 2.1.0 daemon and 2.0.6.1 simple wallet?

Is my understanding correct?

Thank you

Hello,

Payments have been sent out.

Unfortunately I can guarantee payments will not be delayed not and then(That is why the pool fee is still 0%). What I can guarantee is that you will always get the pending coins..

Sorry for the late response.

I had the old gui wallet, but how do i actually mine with "quazarcoind" and setup the wallet with "simplewallet"? All my coins are on a pool, will i be able to withdraw these coins if they on old chain, and will i need to anything more than withdraw to the wallet address?

I have successfully started the fornote but now it just shows a menu from the forknote. Not sure how to sync and start the blockchain. If anybody can help with a good tutorial on how to use forknote with quazarcoin.conf file it would be great. I am prestty much new so your help is greatful.

Hello,
to use forknote with quazarcoin config file follow these steps:

1. download the quazarcoin.conf file here: https://github.com/forknote/configs
2. copy the file to your \configs subfolder (in the folder where you have your forknote files)
3. start the daemon with following command line: forknoted.exe --config-file configs\quazarcoin.conf
4. when it's synchronized, start the wallet with following command line: simplewallet.exe --config-file configs\quazarcoin.conf

I hope this helps Smiley
