Ok, got it working by making a .bat file.


Does not show hashrate at any log-level though. I'm using 1x Ryzen 1700 currently.

I think http://qcn.mypool.name has a running Forknote daemon, but you have to check with the pool operator to be 100% sure.

miner.exe --address XXXXXX --daemon-address 127.0.0.1:23081 --threads 8 --scan-time 20 --log-level 3

I tried, but how does one solo mine with the forknoted daemon/simplewallet (it doesn't understand "start_mining")?

In case you guys still do not do it - please use Forknote v2.0.1.1 for pools/exchanges/wallets or implement the security fix from the bytecoin repository (or forknote repository). We already contacted Minergate and Hitbtc to update to Forknote or implement our fix, but we have no confirmation are did they actually fixed this

What do you think about mining this? Is it better to focus on Bytecoin or XMR?

I have appreciated light wallet like Electrum and Multibit for Bitcoin since download the whole blockchain is an annoying and resource wasting process. So 8 months ago I have started to work on an alternative wallet based on Multibit approach for Monero: "MoneroBank" an easy to use Java GUI wallet for Monero aimed to give best user experience even for not geeky people.

Main features:

-lightweight, no need to download the whole blockchain locally

-no need use of command lines;

-multiplatform;

-fast;

-contacts list;

-charts and statistics;

-double private key encryption;

-tor proxy support;

No additional fees to the standard Monero fee the service will be mantained only with donations. In future will be developed even a mobile version for Android(certainly) and iOS (if some other developer wants to help).

The lack of respect of Monero community in less than a day was be able to irritate me to the point that the whole project will be migrated to an alternative Cryptonote based cryptocurrency, no more donation address.
Sorry but the community is important for a cryptocurrency and I don't want to have nothing to do with a bunch of angry troll who spread shit on people that try to give their free contribute.

Unfortunately it's not possible to know if you ever mined without having your wallet address. Currently what I see is:

Sorry to hear that. Would you please contact me and give me more details about the issue? What is the wallet you mined with so I can recheck? Disconnections? -- yes it's possible, I restarted a daemon tommorow, but it was just a few seconds.

Blocks you found disappered? -- It's a very big issue. Could you please tell which block in detail, so I can recheck? It's definitely not OK if blocks you found just disappear.
