Dear community,

Remember everyday there are coming new people into the crypto world. Everyday people like you and me find about crypto currencies and are getting involved and they will look for good opportunities.

It's really good we are already an sustainable community and coin. No pump and dump shit, but building a strong community, having a dedicated dev, having one of the best coins out there with new features each time adding.

This will make it attractive for new people in crypto and of course the people who are already for 1 year and more in crypto.

Knowing this, we also know where we are in 6 months and where we are in 1 year. What NXT did, we can do better!!

Qora Soldiers!!!! we HODL beyond galaxies!!

By putting the setting "generatorkeycaching" to "true" you can keep generating blocks after you lock your wallet as long as you have unlocked you wallet once since startup.

We can now forge and do not afraid for our coins, folks. Just unlock your wallet and lock it again. It will continue generating blocks.

Awesome!!!
Thanks master  Cheesy
I will forge everyday now  Cool

v13 running fine. .exe works fine. Thank you Qora.

Is that correct?

Code:
{
"knownpeers":[
"146.185.141.232",
"162.243.170.76",
"42.159.153.145",
"88.198.69.99",
"85.21.237.35",
"193.242.149.63",
"113.250.226.131"
],
"minconnections": 10,
"generatorkeycaching": true
}
That's not needed. I didn't change anything and only unlocked and locked my account and I'm forging.

Interesting. The dev said it was needed. You say it isn't.

How do you know it is forging? There is no indicator in the wallet UI that I am aware of.

  • The settings.ini has been converted into settings.json.
  • By putting the setting "generatorkeycaching" to "true" you can keep generating blocks after you lock your wallet as long as you have unlocked your wallet once since startup.
  • Added a new API command "POST transactions/scan".
  • Added a new setting "maxbyteperfee" this will make the client ignore transactions that have a higher byteperfee. By default this value is 512. This will help the network and nodes to protect themselves during an attack.

The new API documentation can be found here:

Excellent work. I have a question.

When you use the generatorkeycaching is your actual password in memory somewhere in the clear? Or, is it protected in some way and only decrypted when needed to sign a block?

Thanks for you good work and for ignoring all the FUD and price woe in the thread.

That was right about the time the fork happened. I assume you and ShareX were on the fork. So, that transaction got invalidated on the correct longer chain, so ShareXCoin scammer has that Qora. At least, that is the most plausible explanation. I doubt you sent that much Qora somewhere and didn't remember it.

Actually...  if this was due to the fork incident...  the QORA along with the incoming transaction would have disappeared from the Block Explorer...  obviously this is an outgoing transaction that was processed two days later.

good point. I didn't realize there was a spend transaction in the block chain. Back to reading school. Brb.  Grin

The challenge NXT'ers always give to Qora is what function is innovative in Qora.

I want to better know what was so innovative about NXT functions?

Anyone with real knowledge want to tell us. Cause I'm hearing things from other threads that actually most of NXT's functions was done previously by other coins. The only real original function being transparent forging.

If the only innovation is the fact its a new code and framework then in theory Qora is as innovative as NXT ever was. Right?

Anyone got the educated facts?

CEO Bitpanda.com
Sorry forgot to include the transaction screenshot. The transaction was sent to: QPjHuM78wVQamAZh7gP55xXjBiRceqcR6W, which currently owns 713569 Qora (if block explorer is correct). Is that an exchange address?

Do you recall whether this is your ShareXcoin QORA Deposit Address or not?   Undecided

I also have a deposit to ShareXcoin that is just sitting there in the deposit address...  I guess ziplibrary just pulled the plug before moving the QORA to the holding address.
Well I am 99,99% certain that I didn't sent it back to ShareX, because I don't trust new exchanges...
But it seems as if that's the only possibility  Undecided

It becomes even weirder, because a few days later on June 5 when ShareX became a scam I said this on the nxtforum:
"mikesbmw: [Edit]
I got out in time. I bought some Qora there and being a new exchange, I do what I always do and immediately transfer it to my wallet. It's not much, but still 0.5 BTC worth of Qora.

Phew!"

Yes, this happend to quite some people. Nothing you can do about that except tracking down zip and recover funds Sad

Coinomat.com has just launched NXT market. People now can sell Nxt directly for fiat and get money on debit cards. I spoke with Coinomat.com about Qora, they said they need it having large trading volume so they can hedge risks. We agreed that I'll get back to them when we have higher trading volume.

Wow interesting

I do have a Poloniex account, but never traded Qora there, I just checked.

Well, whatever it is, the Qora is gone unfortunately... Fortunately, for me, the price is still very low (lower than my initial buy). I will buy some new than.

Guys, something weird.

I was just checking my Qora wallet, haven't done anything with it since May.

I downloaded the latest wallet, V12, used the Seed, let the blockchain download and saw my transaction of 713569 Qora. Then it disappeared and all I see is an outgoing transaction of the same amount on May 30, +1 Qora to QPjHuM78wVQamAZh7gP55xXjBiRceqcR6W. Is this an exchange address?

So now I have zero Qora left and no idea where they went and how...
Either I suffer from acute amnesia or something fishy is going on  Undecided

EDIT:
Oh shit, I bought the Qora at Sharexcoin and immediately moved them to my wallet and then 2 days later they are moved to ShareXcoin again?! WTF  Huh
That's something I didn't do...

No, ShareXCoin account is QXx7SnaEPvEczS8rX7HZKH3pY4vXG8ATxK, someone must have stolen the money. Do you have any idea how could someone get the seed?
I received the Qora from the same address that they are sent back to...

How someone got my seed (if they even did)? Nothing is impossible, but I think it's borderline impossible.
The seed is stored in my encrypted keypass on my Mac, Qora wallet resides on a VM which is used strictly for crypto, no downloads, no other applications.
Every now en then I restore the VM to make sure nothing gets installed.

It would be very weird also, because I have other crypto's which are worth way more. This just seems lame.

Can you send me a screen shot?
