Decentralized Jihad
I received 1K coins from the dev and want to test sending. Can someone post an address where I could send coins to?
UPD: I have successfully sent to my own address.

Well, I have two notices: there must an option to copy an address (popup menu or something) and there must be a bit more options in the menu (help, etc).

I will invest 0.5 BTC or more on 6 April if everything goes ok.

Send me coins someone to check.

That is strange that shouldn't happen. What can happen is that a peer will only accept a connection from a single ip once and not accept the others.
Now, this is not happening. Maybe this was due to the fact that these two were the only peers of each other.

Coins received, thank you, and sent it back.

I also noticed that if you run the client with the same AccountSeed on another computer, then on the first computer lost connection.

run.bat worked incorrectly.
I changed it this way and everything started to work as it should.
run.bat
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin\java.exe" -Xmx256m -Djava.library.path=libs/native -jar Qora.jar -disablerpc

Guys, it is REAL, not Nxt fork, 100% unique code. It's working. I'm running a node.

Respect to dev.  Smiley

Buy the way, I see that:

NXT has 1 Bil coins (and it has no digits after the decimal point!)
NEM has 4 Bil coins
COMM has 1 Bil coins,
Qora plan to have 10 Bil coins.

Here is my suggestion/idea to dev. Make maximum amount of Qoracoins not 10 Bil, but 10 Millions. It will create Qora "PoS Gold" compared to other Billion-coin PoS systems. 8 digits after decimal point will solve the problem of amount.

I could not get this to work. Synchronization is not completed. A new account is not created.
I only see the first block.

If you right-click on the input window, nothing happens. Menu does not pop up.

To me it seems like it cannot create the files. Is there a wallet and data folder being created in the map of the application when you run it?
Is there any error message in the command line when you create the wallet?

For those that want funds it is easier for me if you just post your address here because I can only send 1 message every 6 minutes.

Turn green sync icon. But still I only see the first block. And if you click on the "New account" then nothing happens. Single address is no.

Beta

The last week of the IPO has started and the beta is now available.
You can download the beta client here.

Please note that it is a beta so the code doesn’t work perfect yet.
Two servers are being run in New York and Amsterdam to handle the network load.
You can request funds in this thread or by pm.

Tips
Double clicking on a transaction will open up a detailed view about that transaction.
Right clicking on a name will allow you to view its details or update it.
To generate blocks your wallet must be unlocked.

Requirements
The application requires a working oracle java 7 installation.

The application requires the use of the following ports:
-   9084 TCP: The port peers use to communicate which each other.
-   9085 TCP: The default port that is used for the RPC commands.
-   123 UDP: For access to NTP.

By default the application needs to have access to its own folder to read the settings and data files.

The application uses native libraries and is therefore only usable on the following systems:
-   Windows x86/x64
-   Linux x86/x64
-   Mac OSX x64

Running the application
The simplest way to run the application is to just execute the run.bat/run.sh file.
Running the application using this file will disable the RPC server and enable the GUI.

To run the application command line only you have to remove the –disablerpc option and instead add the –disablegui option. Both the GUI and RPC cannot be disabled at the same time.

To execute a command using the command line execute the jar followed by your command.
For Example:

java –jar Qora.jar help
java –jar Qora.jar getGeneratingBalance XEXed3kUmQMcTNxC4iB9D1u9mmBjudtdS8

The help command will show you a list of available commands.
Proper RPC documentation will be available on release.

Known problems
This is a beta so there are still a few problems.

-   Database file corruption: Closing the application incorrectly can easily corrupt your database and wallet files be aware of that. You will have to recreate your wallet and redownload the blockchain to fix this.
-   Block synchronization: When forked the synchronizer will often orphan too many blocks before it finds the longest chain.
-   Command line speed: The command line is currently very slow. Using it at this point is not recommended.
-   Your transactions might not always show up immediately.
-   Your wallet won’t automatically scan the blockchain when it has been moved. To scan the blockchain use the synchronizeWallet command and restart your client.

seems to be interesting. but the lock icon in screenshot is weird.

Yes on the screenshots the lock icon has a white background if that is what you mean.
The white background has been removed since those screenshots were made.
The gui at this point is purely functional.
Once all the features that we want are implemented the complete gui will get a makeover to make it more appealing to the public.
