Hi,

New here ! Plz donate some QRK It's so hard to mine atm !!!!                                        Nah just joking ! :p

Question : How guys on my pool can get high hashrates like 140 MH/s Huh

Got a farm of servers with 20 cores CPUs or what ?

I can hardly get 1.5MH/s with 3 CPUs (i5), each running 500 kh/s, with the difficulty changing all the time, this give me approximately 15 QRK/day.

This guy(s) could make all visible sell orders dissapear Tongue

hmmmm interesting .

And he is not alone, there are also 10, 12 BTC buy orders. Also yesterday there were two buy orders around 60 and 70 BTC. I think todays one is same from yesterday.
Looks like something is on the way in the nearest days/weeks.

Last night I got to meet Stacy and Max, he did explain the situation with Litecoin saying that he did not own any crypto other than Bitcoin

Oh shit, 30 second blocks....this spells death for this coin, it will be attacked so hard one day. And SHA-3 isn't necessarily safer than SHA-2, since it's new who knows what holes it might have.

Also - CPU coin = botnets....

It uses all of the crypto functions that were SHA-3 finalists: Blake, BMW, Groest, JH, Keccak, and Skein.

Also the SHA-algorithms are not chosen lightheartedly.

Your talks make no sense at all.

You're just fretting over the fact that you didn't mine it first.

Yeah, but that botnet concern is real. As I said in my blog  --

CPU mining has 1 disadvantage however -- there's a lot of CPU power (not GPU power or control over special purpose hardware) in the hands of Botnets; under control of a cracker, he may have 51% hashing power for a small amount of time. However this requires great amount of coordination among the huge no. of botnets, this requires downloading the whole block chain which is hard for a block; then people are moving away from their virus-infested Microsoft Windows Desktop/Laptops to Android tablets and phones. So feasibility of such an attack is questionable.

if someone wants to send me a quark or two, here my wallet address:

What is up with the QRK beggars lately? They're popping up everywhere.

Indeed. Means people are interested in acquiring QRK though.

So there's that.

So suppose I have to manage a lot of transactions from a lot of addresses, this could be very annoying on the long-term no ? If there is a need to "reset" the wallet or making a script that involves splitting a transaction into a smaller chunk ?

Or it's just if A send to B, and there's less than 160 different "A" address, B would only send balance / sum(different A) ?
I don't really get this point... Is it really useful in the process ? Is there any way to get rid of that ? Shocked
The 160 transaction limit is there to avoid huge transactions over 100kb or so. Unless you are mining on a p2pool you should be fine. I think the current Quarkcoin release gives a warning if the transaction is too large, but not sure as I still use the old one.
Someone could add CoinControl to QRK too.  Cheesy

I feel like the QRK Difficulty is way too high already, you would probably be better off to mine a different coin and trade them for QRK.

hmm, looks like this address is going to take a while to fill.
are there any free giveaways ot faucets at the moment?

The pool says with my 670KH/s i'll only get 37 coins a day worth 0.005 btc.
is it really going to be worth something one day?

Hi to all.

I'm spanish and here in my country there is a lot of interest around the new cryptocurrencies, specially Quarks, but it's hard for people to buy. There are a lot of groups interested in invest on other alternate cryptos, different of Litecoin. People think that has missed the boat and don't invest his money. With Quark and his incredible potential, this could change.

I'm planning mount a simple web this weekend to can buy Quarks. I'm new here and by the moment I only have 3 Quarks xD. I need a group of support with me to provide the necessary money supply to trade. The benefits (fees) would be distributed proportionally among participants.

There are some stores that with this type of promotion could start to accept Quarkscoins too. Specially one like Newegg.

If someone can participate with me in this project, please send me a private message. I will give all the data soliciteis me to reflect that I am not a crook.

There is a huge opportunity to publicize Quarks in Spain and Portugal.

Best regards

PD. I have another project to develop a game based on Bitcoin or other crypto that I think it could be as famous as Angry Birds or Candy Crush. Contact me for further info too => https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=358443.new#new
