New station in Terebellum Huh http://prntscr.com/fahk19
Ugh, is that an update bug?

I do not know Smiley Was all right before and after.

BUG. Reward for job 'Cleanse sector' when we must kill all pirates, depends on distance from station-employer. So killing 10 pirates in same sector for 19 satoshi not fair reward Smiley

Fix my CPU, please.

It is not so easy to do as to say. When I switch ship and see that lasers ready, I'm undock and mining or, if I see minerals in cargo, I'm docking and selling them. Very simple until lag. In this case I should wait 2-3 seconds until CPU point decremented, then wait response in log, then mining animation complete... I'm realy trying to be patient :)

We considered adding delays to the SG2 interface, but then figured people "feel" how laggy their connections are, much better than any script could ever anticipate, and ultimately decided to leave it alone and allow fast(-er) clicking. I know it could lead to weird error (and thus, CPU rate burn), hopefully it's an OK compromise.

New station in Terebellum ??? http://prntscr.com/fahk19

Ugh, is that an update bug?

Station owner IPX, but audience with High Priest :o http://prntscr.com/fajuti

Ouch, thanks for the report!

The station ownership turnover in the lower red (Terebellum-E and beyond) is getting ridiculous.  At any given time, pretty much 8/10 have just changed owners so I can't buy or sell resources.

Also, this current resource shortage is a huge pain.  There is NO equipment for sale, other than a nuclear reactor.

Can't comment on the shortage, but the station turnover is indeed a bit too much, especially as the time war goes on. We'll try to hot-patch something soon'ish and come to a better long-term solution later. Thank you for the report.

Toecutter, just so you know the main ad box has been empty for a while now... not sure if it's intentional but thought I'd mention it in case you've been noticing less ad revenue

Yeah, we have noticed that. I messaged their support trying to figure it out, but our conversations are not too fruitful... I guess it's my karma for letting you guys down all the time and replying too late.

So returning to stations to buy certain ingredients to build myself some equipment, I have noticed how long it takes to build simple things. I've also noticed now that all red stations sell price is always exactly half or less of the item buy price, which in itself defeats what the devs were trying to eliminate using cool downs -- people buying materials, crafting selling, get rich repeat.  With everything half the sell price it's already made crafting for profit in stations totally redundant, so why keep the cool down penalty at all?  I think you've already eliminated that problem right there in adjusting prices..

Hey, yes, you're mostly right. Although, all red stations sell price is always exactly half or less of the item buy price that part sounds suspiciously like a bug.

But in general, yeah, since that update happened, crafting cooldowns were significantly lowered. It's more of a feature than a penalty now - and if you level your skill OR use advanced factories (maybe paying a fee to the owner), they are practically non-existent.

However, we're always interested in particulars, if you think some item is way out of line, please do tell.

And CPU again Sad  CPU rate leaking while I'm act too fast. If I switch ship and undock without waiting energy synchronization I may lose CPU rate. If I scan/mine asteroids or jettison cargo and dock without server response in log window - I may lose CPU rate.

That is quite right, and you're the only player (!) who burns through it this fast. So for both our sakes, could you please just not do it ? Smiley

As for the rest, thank you very much for your reports, I'm filing everything.

Description not updating http://prntscr.com/f9kcpb

Making hacked version of MLK-I mining laser does not add nor engineering nor hacking skill points.

SG2. Crafting 8 nickel plates cooldown 1 minute 3/4, but I have 1:30 -> 1 minute 1/2 on fatigue display. Can you show real cooldown time same as I see in fatigue window?
Total price does not updates after price risen http://prntscr.com/f9s7oq

Scary empty market http://prntscr.com/f9tpyp when I bought from 5th page and click on 6th... Smiley (In SG2 hard to renew part of page. Should do 2-3 clicks)

Captcha restore only 5 CPU points, should 19. Having premium captcha restore 50 points... should 190? If so, then why maximum points is 100 + CPU rate?

Dear toecutter,

Why do I not get hacking skills? I have now for the second time a MLKz rootkit crafted and no skill points received. If I want to craft 2x MLKz rootkit at the same time it is not possible because I need 300 energy and my ship has but a maximum of 240. I think it is a bug.

EDIT: I know how it works. "Onlinedigger, Matek and Anibalbarca" gave me a tip. And it works perfectly.  Tongue Grin

I have a suggestion regarding the medal for the veteran status. How about a medal that can be leveled.
Veteran status I with a copper-colored star
Veteran status II with two copper-colored stars
Veteran status III with two copper-colored stars and a silver star
Veteran status IV with two silver-colored stars and a golden star
Veteran status V with three golden stars.
How do you think about my idea? What do you make of it?

No, i use it for mining as often as other ships. I thought problem in reactor, so recheck it twice (in SG2 and in SG1), but you know results.
Actually, there is only one way be sure in durability state in SG2 is place it in cargo and attempt repair on station Sad

That's weird. I've filed the bug report, thank you.

Before posting question i made some tests: couple scans of asteroids with just bought used scanner, even mine some asteroids with already broken laser; made thrusters across the system with three new engines, on short distance with 2 minutes cooldown, then few on long distance with 10 minutes cooldown, but any equipment still has 100% durability. Well, then i waited until 20% hull points left and took a trip from Miaplacidus to Tabit 1544 and back to Miaplacidus, BUT still 100% of all engine's durability.

Well, it's entirely possible there's a (positive, for players) bug which stops durability loss. But I'm guessing you were just lucky. You don't lose a point EVERY time you use a piece of equipment, only SOME times. The hull has nothing to do with it, but ship durability does. If you have a ship with 0 durability, you might want to do some tests using it. 0 durability ships trash their equipment much much faster, as noted in the manual.

At least that's the idea.

In game manual said "In some circumstances, damage can still be applied to cloaked ships, in which case they receive a high evasion bonus." http://www.satoshigalaxy.com/help/manual#cloaking

Is that mean that if I deal damage to cloaked player he gain extra points of evasion skill?

No, it just means he gets a bonus during his evasion roll. Similarly, when the manual says Aiming bonus, it means extra precision, not that you get more skill points.

Dear toecutter,

i crafted 80 dogecoins and i see this

1. http://prntscr.com/f7hwzk
2. http://prntscr.com/f7hygg

I guess the time display is too small. The programmers have to enlarge the area where the CoolDown time is displayed.

Ouch, thanks for the report. You are correct, the indicator display was never supposed to display that much time.

I have another question. When is a player a veteran?

I guess it's all relative. When I use the term, I usually just mean "players who know how to play" or "players with [significant amount of] planets", depending on the context.

I have reached level 161 today and for the moment I am in position 5 of the 10 best players. Could not a medal for the status "Veteran" be awarded? That would be great and I would be very proud of it.

That's a pretty good idea, adding to the list.

Two advanced reactors: 2/2 and 96/98. Energy rate - 21 per minute Huh Unmount -> mount back in same slots - energy rate - 23 as should be Shocked This is only on single ship.
Was that an old unused ship by any chance?

No, i use it for mining as often as other ships. I thought problem in reactor, so recheck it twice (in SG2 and in SG1), but you know results.

How equipment's durability losing work...
I think it's all about thrusters (approaching) and not jumping, when it comes to engines. And it's pretty random. Reactors might lose durability as they recharge you, everything else might lose durability on use.
