Yeah, well ATM I'm mucking around with QTcreator.. I've finally got dbus for windows working, but the big problem is...

<----- This is not a joke, it's a statement of fact..

If I can get a decent client to compile on windows I might be able to port the present client over to something worthwhile, and publish the source code and a how to compile on windows tutorial.. (I wouldn't expect anybody to trust a binary)..But I didn't want to say anything because I don't have the skills... Most likely I'm wasting time on a rainy day....

It seems the reason most of us are still mining is yes.. This could be huge.. just because it targets the right niche.. But without skilled people developing it, it's going nowhere..

UPDATE: Managed to get OpenSSL working without using perl, installing boost, if the other dependencies go this smooth might actually achieve something....

UPDATE Had problems with Berkley DB, but used MSYS to access QT's mingw shell..seems to be compiling NP... P.S. Tell me If I'm boring you.. I'll stop updating

UPDATE Openssl Errors..Downloading Perl..  Embarrassed

The problem is: Without an exchange nobody will accept SXC as payment (except freaks like me of course) and without that a niche coin like SXC is just another fun coin. On the other hand Doubloons did pretty good for a fun coin. OK, pirates are even cooler than dinosaurs and ninjas, but are they better then sex? Smiley

I'd sell you my 68k SXC for 40 LTC now ;-)

Sex Industry have to start using this coin and increase the value but without an exchange there is no prospects.
I think it could be very good opportunity for sex industry use this anonymous paid way..It can be explode the market.
There is people who afraid to use theri cards and personal details for this kind of entertainment..Just imagine to adopt it by big sex sites..30% increase~!
Indeed let's move on with a useful coin..

Before it goes to an exchange it needs a decent client, a website, and at least one pool (not P2P) so there can be a decent hashrate.. the only reason this hasn't suffered a 51% attack is it's not worth attacking..

Some of us are so loyal/desperate that we're mining to the last node LAMO

"Remember tha Alanode"...

I think the days of creating a coin, it going to cryptsy a few days later and the "Dev" dumping the premine are over.. Though it is unfair to expect any coin to succeed on the merits of one person.. It needs a community to add all the little services it requires to gain value. Still I don't understand how a DDOS attack can screw up a website.. Block access yes, corrupt files no .. I could be wrong, I'm not experienced in these things but....

Guys. Some people do this stuff for money. But most of us are doing all this mining just for fun, knowing their own hash-power doesn't get enough payback. But getting sex is joy!!! Grin

lost my last working node, despite adding every node listed... I don't think it's gonna make it.. network was 3m/h.. I blame the Dev..dying of neglect..

hey don't blame the 'dev' he probably got grounded and is band from usin the internets  Wink

The thing that I don't understand...I spent some time chasing down the premine. Its still sitting in two big pools. That tells me that the dev hasn't "cashed out" so to speak. I'd think he'd want to do SOMETHING. At least post some false hope to keep momentum until he can dump.

EDIT: Still, by hashrates, the chain is in better shape than yesterday:
