It was only the wind.
I know most of everyone is AMD here, but I need some help getting back into mining after taking a few month break. I'm running a Nvidia 970 and I'm interested in mining X11, Scrypt-N and Scrypt coins. I know profit isn't there anymore, but still interested. I've tried creating a bat file with the config below, but for some reason the miner is defaulting to use my processors onboard graphics.

Code:
sgminer -o stratum+tcp://ca.simplemulti.com:3344 -u User.name -p x -I 13 -o stratum+tcp://ca.simplemulti.com:3434 -u user.name -p x

use ccminer.

I was powering 6 cards with 1500W and it was enough for Scrypt mining...for X11 or similar 3 cards consume about 500-550w. With one AX1200i I'm powering 6x280x...

This is 295X2 we're discussing here.... 280X (DualX) uses about 125W so I'd agree with your results. btw, what is the hash rate you're getting and what are your clock&voltage &TC &g &I and other settings?

Same as the others unfortunately, I guess only Wolf and few others enjoy better kernels at the moment.

Uh... dude, I'm powering two off of an 850W. Also, memory clocks are in the notepad, the best one is at 1700.

I see we've come down a bit since the days of scrypt(N) mining Smiley Smiley. Today I measured power consumption off the wall for X2 and it reads approx. 380W on stock 1V and card yields 2x 5.2MH/s. (280x (dualX) undervolted uses about 125W which is phenomenal since it was using about 230W mining scrypt(N)).

Will try to undervolt a bit... indeed with 0.9V power usage drops to 300W

But what I don't get is how can you get almost double hash rate with the same power consumption. Whatever hash rate improvements you get by altering the kernel always translates into more power usage. Or does it?

Also I noticed that X2 card slows down a bit after mining for a day or so, and this has nothing to do with temperature which in in low 60s. Powerplay is as usual set to +20. Should I set it to +50?

Also, I went to Windows to allow voltage changes on Hawaii, these cards are amazing!

Screenshot (NSFW): https://ottrbutt.com/miner/x11localrigwolf-11262014.png

They are amazing indeed. The only problem seems to be that in order to power 2 of them from a single PSU you'd need 1300W PSU at minimum and 1500W to be on the safe side. Quality single rail PSU of this size is hard to find.

What I wanted to ask you is: what is the voltage you're running these cards on? Also are you overclocking memory to 1500Mhz (or maybe more)? Thx!

Let me tell you guys I like really much the way you're cleaning up the difficulty multiplier thing. It was fairly crappy in 4.1.
But anyway, I went into parse_diff and slashed the parsed diff by 256 as a quick test... it indeed produces the usual difficulty settings and stream of shares, with the usual % of rejects.

No idea what's wrong. From a quick glance, everything seems nice to me.

Anyone mining qubit here? At least for science!  Roll Eyes

Update on sgminer5 adventures.

I have downloaded the source and had it recompiled by applying the usual "make libcurl optional again patch".

Cannot connect anyway, but at least it works. By inspecting the gory details it turns out the new extranonce subscribing extension isn't supported by the servers I'm using. The extension... is an extension. This means optional to me. Yet the code appears to require it and won't go anywhere after getting server reply.

I went into sgminer.c, add_pool and changed
Quote
pool->extranonce_subscribe = true;
into
Quote
pool->extranonce_subscribe = false;
this gets me to hashing.

However, I suspect the difficulty is computed wrong because I cannot produce a single share in minutes.

I'm becoming stupid trying to make this work on my system. I have made some tests with no success. At the end I decided to start from scratch.
I have downloaded the build from nicehash a few minutes ago.
I've run just this way:

sgminer

No parameters. Input the following:

It was only the wind.
I have an interesting phenomenom with neoscrypt, on 280x.

With intensity 13, I get about 298kh/s stable. If I then lower intensity to 12, hashrate rises to 305kh/s and stays there.

However, if I start sgminer directly with intensity=12, hashrate is only 270kh/s or so, and does not rise any higher.. Sad So it need to go through intensity 13, then lower to 12 to get max speed.

This is with latest sgminer develop version, Wolf's kernel, catalyst 14.6.

Are you saying one 280x?I got only 150k/s with one-280x. What;s your config?

Late to the party much?

Guy's,

I wanna thank everyone who helped me.
But i have to give up  Angry
Because nothing works.

I tried different drivers of amd.
Different versions of cl files.
I also tried cgminer for neoscrypt only.
But it all feezes the videocard.

And the weird part is.
If i mine x11 or x13 there is nothing wrong.

So again, thanks for all the help.

Look some posts back ...
Your config file has not a specific profile for each alg. You must have something like that for each algo:
{
      "name": "Neoscrypt",
      "algorithm": "Neoscrypt",
      "thread-concurrency": "8192",
      "worksize": "64",
      "gpu-threads": "1",
      "intensity": "12",
      "gpu-engine": "900",
      "gpu-memclock": "1250",
      "gpu-fan": "30-100"
}
And you must try allot of combinations to find the best for your hardware.
Look for others config files.
