I hope it will be  easy to use Smiley

agree
hope there will be some good guides provided  Wink

I agree with you! The only reason that has stopped me from starting a storage contract is because of the lack of instruction or clarification regarding the contract. I'm hoping that the userflow is more clearly defined in the upcoming release. The user interface is gorgeous; definitely one of the best looking wallet/software apps for any crypto, but some more clear-cut instructions and information regarding storage contract information is definitely desired.

same here
+ since MAc update to 10.12 i have problems with the Wallet
hope that gets fixed too  Wink

I'm sure there will be.  This is the first big update in months.  The other's have just been bug fixes, but this one contains a working decentralized storage solution.  That's a first for sia!

Yeah, having a working product with those capabilities is a BIG deal.  Cant wait for the release in a day or two. Cheesy  Sia blows the other storage coins away.

"The v1.0.3 release is just a few days away. These are release candidates for what v1.0.3 could be, meaning that if no bugs are found in these candidates v1.0.3 will be the same.

For people who have not been following development, this is our first release in almost 3 months. These three months have been focused primarily on stability and bugfixes, and we are excited to announce that most of the major bugs have been taken care of. Fixes include upload speed, uploads pausing unexpectedly, uploads stalling indefinitely, the UI crashing unexpectedly, Sia crashing unexpectedly, DoS vectors in the peer-to-peer networking code, the UI starting up incorrectly, the renter spending too much money, the storage estimates being wildly inaccurate, and perhaps a dozen more things.

In short, v1.0.3 is the polished product that a lot of people were expecting from v1.0.0. I encourage everyone to give the release candidate a shot, because v1.0.3 is going to be the face of Sia for a while. If we can find a few more bugs in the days leading up to the release, v1.0.3 will be that much more stable over the next few months.

And I want to stress, this release is miles more stable than anything we've ever released. It's really exciting, because we can say that Sia finally appears to be working, even for files that are as large as 100GB. That's extremely exciting for decentralized cloud storage, and we hope everyone gets to give it a shot."

nice  Grin
i was looking forward to that
tx for the update

If a stupid coin like POT can pump like it did then there is no reason why SIA can't either, especially given the fact that SIA is way more legit than POT

Withdrawals are  Temporarily Disabled again on poloniex. Anybody knows whats going on?

Poloniex has put sia wallet in maintenance mode currently.

In the meantime you can trade SC at Bitsquare (https://market.bitsquare.io/?market=sc_btc) or Yunbi (https://yunbi.com/markets/sccny).

R U downloading from official SIA site? If so u will need to talk to someone with MAC sia experience. As far as the wallet. U dont need to backup. The seed is the backup. When u go to a new wallet u just import and type in the unlock key I believe or u just transfer over the walet.json and then use your unlock seed.

sry thats a s far as my knowledge on SIA goes.

ok tx man
might be a 10.12 issue (dam Mac updates)

nobody answered my question from above
so
i started a new wallet on seperate computer and still v....

what do i do ?
where is that file ?
how to start ?

sounds like the the wallet u downloaded is corrupt. I was going to say delete all files except your wallet file and concensus folder and restart ui. But u said u installed on a new computer with new wallet.

So like I said I think the original file that is the wallet that u uncompresed is bad.

Re-download and re-install

ok tx
(finally some feedback)

my open question is still how i cold storage my (am on Mac)
wallet.json
when i pull it from 1 computer to another 1 it does not start ?
in a 'normal' QT wallet i can exchange the wallet.dat on several computers and wallets
how do i do that with sia wallet ?

Edit:
downloaded new wallet
Sia-UI-darwin-x64
same same problem !

"Siad has stopped"
when i click "start siad"
nothing happens !!

Am on Mac 10.12 ?!?!
