Any chance of a block chain download, the day wait on most of these long chains would make most turn away from actual use & time spent testing?
Edit: Tested with (the wrong PC) a standard hard drive (HDD), solid state drive (SSD) only required an hour or so to fully sync & complete testing the UI

The UI that you downloaded is the full app, which includes a wallet. If you don't plan on storing files or starting a contract, why not use Poloniex as a simple wallet service?

maybe you were not around but heard stories about Mt Gox, MintPal ,.... eh ? think about it !
Do NOT trust exchanges, they are there to trade but NOT to hold/store your coins.

The IP your are announcing is your public IP address. So yes, you'll want to forward the ports to where you have it installed. I believe there are three ports, 9981 & 9982 are the ports you want to forward. Ther eis also 9980 which is the API port. You want to keep this one closed and/or used for internal only. Otherwise, someone can mess up your day.

If you have not immersed yourself in the Sia slack yet, I suggest you give it a shot. Spend some time over there and you'll be less worried about your investment, if you're sitting on a loss atm
