Finally seeing payouts coming in to the 2 other rigs wallets now. 3 down 1 to go, but that one's just a little 7790 @ 55 MH  Grin not going to fill its wallet to quick lol

Actually its a dual 7790 set up, but as we all know, we can only hash with one card for now. if both hashed they are equal or in some instances faster and make better miners then a single 7950  Smiley

and are very low energy consumption and run cool......

Dude. GPU_DEVICE_ORDINAL environment variable + two instances of miner == mining on both cards.

how would that be presented wolf? ...

what would the parameters be in the script so that you can alot the miners to the different cards in the system ...

wat did I do?

I pay 50kS for thoughts, provided that you either pm me a sia address (single), or put it in your sig (double)

Totally not a giveaway.

Also, I'm sleeping for now so you probably won't get any response for about 16 hours.

Don't let that discourage you Cheesy

You need the curl library. for ubunutu, it's called libcurl4-gnutls-dev: `apt-get install libcurl4-gnutls-dev`

I found a guide for mac here: http://www.vettyofficer.com/2013/06/how-to-install-curl-in-mac-os-x.html

It doesn't seem to be as simple. Are you having problems on mac?

I had the same problem on Ubuntu 14.04.  I installed libcurl4-gnutls-dev from apt and I also downloaded the latest curl and compiled it from source.  It did get rid of the error but the miner just threw a new error and was fed up with wrestling with it...sooooo...I committed a cardinal sin and installed windows 7 on a different drive to run the miner.  I had to install Windows C++ Runtimes to get it to work though.  They had to be the x86 ones.  The 64bit release did not work.

stupid windows...

EDIT
You go Bitcointalk and mark a link to Microsoft as suspicious...awesome!

But how to mine properly? No config, no intencity, no thread concurrency....  Undecided And you are lucky if GPU miner at least can start on your PC...

I guess the only way is by tweaking the .cl in the miner dir or using a modified miner. I use this one: http://pastebin.com/6ks9BQAp    280x -> 110 Mh/s

In my case the miner can't start using that .cl: "failed to start kernel: -52" Is there some manual how to tweak that file?

p.s I noticed that GPU utilization is higher (but still not full) when running 2 instances of the miner... Has someone try this?

I have noticed that running 2 instances, but stability is decreased. Not sure why you are getting an error. If I really knew what I was doing I'd have made a 10X more efficient miner like Wolf and Pallas have. Maybe we should pool together a fund to pay for their services (as in release their miners). Just a thought.

Yes, I had a four 7790 setup last year. The energy efficiency and low cost to make your ROI made them the most underestimated cards, given you have the extra space for them.

It's nice when the developers is in the same time zone as me!

I can drink, do math wrong, and find out all in the same night Cheesy

I will edit the post!

Then proceed to see if hackintosh works at all with sia.

So why is there no exchange yet?

B/C we are not smart men Sad

B/C the coin is 2 days old? Literally 2 days old.

Give it a few weeks.  Smiley

oh god I wonder that all the time.

someone needs to put the total coinbase yield on a website somewhere so we can can on CMC for visibility.

apart from that...

300000 in first block.

10,000 in last decreasing block.

10 minutes per block.

144 blocks/day.

300000-10000 = total range of block subsidy = 290000

290000/2 = average block subsidy in 290000 blocks = 145000 sia/block on average for 290000 blocks

290000 blocks = 2900000 minutes = 48333 hours = 2014 days = 5.5 years = you'll be here a while

so for 5.5 years, we'll have an average block subsidy of 145000 sia/block.

after 5.5 years, the subsity is 10k sia.

after 5.5 years, there will be 42,050,000,000 sia in existence.

after 5.5 years, there will be a yearly infaltion of 10k sia * 144 blocks * 365 days = 525.6 million

this 525.6 million will begin at a 1.25% yearly inflation of 42,050,000,000 coins.

this will decrease to 525.600,600/42,575,600,000 = 1.234% yearly inflation

this is about a 1.24% decrease in inflation yearly forever.

please let me know if im wrong.

You are wrong  Grin

We are making a block explorer which will help explain all of this.

300,000 in first block, 299,999 in second, etc.
30,000 in final decreasing block (this was your mistake)

At 5 years it's like 42b siacoins in existence. Then it drops to ~3% inflation. At 10 years I think it's at 2% inflation, and it goes down slowly after that. 30,000 every block until the end of time.

So why is there no exchange yet?

B/C we are not smart men Sad

I would much rather see this on the exchange after the difficulty increases and after some stabilizing of price for storage. Otherwise it may become stuck in some flat undervalued rate or the target of some pump and dump scheme before it even gets its footing. Some of the best coins started with trading threads rather than direct to exchange.
Agree, steady as she goes. I am in know hurry with this coin and storage concept. Let it develop and flow at its own pace. Little by little it will smoothen out around the edges.  I think it will grow and get a lot of interest. Devs just need to stay out in front and keep it alive and capture the market. Always someone else looking on, that would copy the idea.

True, but still, now is the time to let influential people know that this exists. If you have someone you respect in the cryptosphere that gives you understanding, now is the time to tell them, even if we are not in an exchange.

Is the current Block Height 2103?

yes

awesome then I will wait for 144 block confirmations.. interesting .. use of go.. is very advanced.. very cool

putting couple of extra servers online ... meantime

keep going with the project,, CC is resurrecting allover the place ending of 2015 and 2016 will be fantastic but development has to be active

ok punching with some good machinery right now, blocks are found.. but won't be relaxed until I see wallet balance updated.. 0 right now..

Be patient. If your miner says block mined, then it will come in eventually   Wink

I am just now getting payouts from a rig that was finding blocks this morning around 11am. Its almost 8pm now

great.. assembling go binaries from sources was not so bad..but you have a wallet (standard satoshi build) so exchanges should have 0 problems with it (it is standard) , good to be early on, use to resale storage is going to happen . you have two big guys working on it , however.. space is so large if you dont stop you have a big chance

I am sorry for asking so many question. what is exact coin spec.. max supply block reward ratio and block reduction inflation reduction.. thanks much

is this still on testnet or for real, have wallet and miner ready , wallet shows block height 0.. please advice

also do rebrand Electron.app to Sia.app..  I am impressed by use of go language must say...

wallet version is 0.3.0 b365  , Sia version 0.3.3

miner hashes ok.. but need to know if it is still in beta or real.. thanks much

for realz yo.

do I need config json file or conf .. blocks are not synching up... appreciate it.. it is an interesting project

using mac osx for wallet client

worry that I am still hitting testnet by wrong config file or something

please let me know if you are able to mine I haven't been able to figure it out
