Still getting this:

Code:
D:\Distrib\Siacoin\sia-gpu-miner-win64>sia_gpu-miner
failed to get Device IDs: -1

I also can't run it on Windows 10 x64 Insider Preview. "MSVCR120.dll is missing". I have installed Visual C++, MSVCR120.dll is present in system32. When I put it directly to miner's folder it closes with error 0xc000007b.

With the newly provided GPU miner link this is the exact issue I have also now. Windows 8 with Visual C++ installed.

Seems to me like you might now have a gpu, either that or your gpu does not support OpenCL.

I have AMD Radeon 7970, I believe it's capable of that.

Guys this is so much fun!
My 280x is hashing at 670 Mh/s, I think I can go past 1 GH/s :-)

Not even whirlpoolx was so rewarding!

Would really appreciate it if you could share your settings. I am hashing with only about 100-112 Mh/s with my 280x

Modified miner and mostly rewritten opencl code. Still a work in progress. Power use is almost doubled.

can you share your .cl file?

Also the C sources are modified, both for speed and stability.

Well, currently mining at 240 MH across 3 rigs. All are finding blocks. One has a dual card setup and it is only seeing one card as expected. Tomorrow Ill play around with it and see if a way to fire up second card.

ok, debating on adding rig 4, a Radeon 7970  Grin

I've got rigs, instructions please?

Make sure your using this wallet:

SIA-UI version:0.3.0 b365
SIA version: 0.3.3

Download this GPU Miner: http://siacoin.com/dist/sia-gpu-miner-win64.zip

And This GPU Miner: https://github.com/NebulousLabs/Sia-GPU-Miner/tree/cccc1b54e7396718128dcc1e8923e19c84e98900

Unzip both.

Copy the CL file from the second miners directory and copy and paste it into the first miners directory.

Start the miner from the first GPU download directory, the one you just copied the CL file into....

Click on the miner exe.

Make sure you wallet is synced and has peer connections first Smiley

OR you can copy and paste the miner exe from the first GPU miner directory and paste it into the second GPU miners directory and start miner form that one. lol both ways seem to yield the same results.

Hope this helps Smiley

That's sounds about right. I am getting 105 MH on a 7970 which is basically the same GPU as your 280x  Wink

Yeah but he is getting 670 Mh/s with his 280x which is 6 times so much.  Shocked
I just edited my quote, but I would have to see it to believe it sorry 670 MH? Don't think so.....  Smiley

95 on my 7950's

Not sure who or how someone is seeing 670 MH on a 280x, has to be incorrect ?

PS: I would have had 4 connections same IP  Huh

All 4 should be okay now. Let me know if they don't seem to be working still.
Yes finally all 4 are showing correct block height and 4 or more peers!.

I did have to reinstall wallets on all the 3 in question. Took a couple of PC reboots as well to get them to sync. Before I reinstalled, I copied the appsdata folder and after new wallet install, I replaced appsdata with original folder. On one pc after I restarted miner, suddenly it caught up to show 112 blocks found, which was the amount I had showed before reinstall? Not sure how or why that is, but the wallet is staying in sync fine now and has peers showing, whereas before I had only the amount of blocks mined showing as block height and zero peers. I don't think I will ever see those blocks found however because I was mining in an un synced wallet.

Will keep ya posted on what it does going forward, but that would explain why the last 3 rigs I set up before going to bed in a hurry did not sync. apparently?  Shocked

We've got an FAQ page. It's only 3 questions right now, but if there are things you think should be added just let me know.

As people keep asking the same questions over and over I'll expand the FAQ.

was hashing with 350 MH that's the block count when I got up and looked at them. I have 1,792.3 confirmed KS in this wallet here. Not sure how many blocks that represents... I guess in coins that's 1792. x 1000 sia? still figuring this all out  Smiley

That's about 6 blocks.

Doesn't the front page say each block is 300,000 reward (slowly decreasing of course) but 1792 / 6 = 300 coin reward?

1,792.3 confirmed KS

ks = kilo sia

I have had the problem that the gpu-miner crashes every now and then so I made a short .bat to restart the miner every 20 minutes. Just save as .bat file with notepad and put it in you miner directory.

Code:
:loop
start sia-gpu-miner.exe
timeout /t 1200 >null
taskkill /f /im "sia-gpu-miner.exe" >nul
timeout /t 7 >null
goto loop

Ok, just reinstalled the same wallet on 1 rig, and finally it updated to correct block height.... so I guess ill have to do that on the other 2. Wonder why the first installs never updated blockchain? weird. So in reality it would seem I was mining and finding blocks but on what blockchain then? so many questions lol

Not sure what will become of the 210 blocks I showed found? oh well glad I have some that have confirmed in my first wallet.  Wink

Lets all keep wading through this mess lol, keeps it interesting I guess

theres a bug where gpu miners show totally unrealistic block gains from one moment to the other - check you wallet and see whats in there
you should be able to copy the wallet.dat file from old wallet to fixed one and see what it shows (might require more than just that file from that directory)
