Second problem of the whole crypto-community by the way is the average age of the community itself, I'm pretty sure the 50% of the people around is under 20, on twitter you can even see PUMP AND DUMP KING with the account saying prick99 or 98. This is also something we have to ponder up on.

I have to be honest with you guys. I was not immediately happy with the white paper. After a brief skim I put up the 500k sell wall on Mintpal @ 3400 sat. I had asked to review the paper ahead of time but was not afforded the opportunity. I would have suggested a delay to polish it up.

To me you were a key community player someone people looked up to and took advice from. Now you have come off as a spoiled kid who didn't get what they wanted so he is gathering up all his stuff and going home.
Ok you didn't get to review the paper, so what? What afforded you the right to even have an expectation to read it ahead of time? You have lots of coins, I don't think that means anything. Unless you are officially part of the team getting access to that info gives you an unfair trading advantage.

While I didn't fully understand the code snippets, I get the general picture and I must say that I'm freaking excited about the implications and possibilities that this paper alludes to!!
Now more than ever I believe Silkcoin is destined for something really big

What I'm noticing that's NOT posted on this forum is anyone commenting on why the proposed technology is NOT possible in the Whitepaper.
If the DEVs really wasn't serious about going through with the coin, then why actually think it through? It wasn't a "let's put everything in the blockchain and it'll be great!" It was a "we acknowledge that we do not want to bloat the blockchain, so we'll integrate other technologies like bittorrent to make it work".
They are considering putting the bare minimal to keep the transaction anonymous while still putting enough info for ads and communications to take place while making sure the registered user is who they say they are. They are considering how to utilize existing methods but modifying it to their needs like the P2P swarm network. They are considering transmissions times. Any they're not going to keep this to themselves by conisdering a situation to "spread services over different currencies".
True, the paper was far from perfect, but the ideas are sound and insightful. It wasn't a over-reaching idea like they were going to re-make the internet. It was a introduction to a platform that will allow craigslist like ads to be posted, communications handled, and transactions settled (almost) completely in the blockchain world.
So how is this NOT innovation?

I hate to do this, but as an economist by profession (I did my doctoral work (Ph.D. at LSE) I have to chime in. SC is an excellent alt coin, both technically and in marketing potential. It's prospects are as good or better than other coin currently trading. If the development team is able to deliver on half of what they promised, this coin can still rival LTC for second spot based solely on enhanced user acceptance traits.
What is occurring at the moment is called a correction and a comparatively minor one which speaks to the fundamentally solid base that is SC.

There will be another dozen pages of bagholders talking about a "correction" and how it is going back up but it never will because the devs don't have anything invested here. They premined nearly 5% of the coins. There has never been a successful coin with that kind of premime and there never will be. These guys are not your friend. This is a copy+paste coin (they didn't even bother to change the addresses) with a nearly 5% premine - you are all kidding yourselves. I told you all to sell at 6500 and I maintain the longer you hold the more you will lose. Every time it's the same and I've yet to be wrong about a coin. It's never going back up because nobody smart would ever buy this coin.

That's what they said to me when I sold DRK at 0.0015. Then look what happened to it. I literally lost 10x profit because the FUD worked on me when DRK was at it's weakest. Granted, DRK was more innovative and had a better dev...but I don't want to make the same mistake again.
At the same time, I damn well don't want to be bagholding and telling myself I knew it if SC goes to 2500, which it probably will.
