I'm curious to know what other coins you are invested in and if you know the identities of those devs?

frac, sync. and some others.
I also invested xmr, but just for profit, not long term keeping.
I ask for identify because I think silkcoin can be long term, otherwise, I would't care those, just care about profit.

For those talking about the premine:
Satoshi probably still has BTC1,000,000, that is pretty sizable.

I am a little bit worry about dev's identify.
I see most of scam coin keep identify anon.
If this coin is really transparent, why dev not reveal their identify?

Ok, go and find Satoshi Nakamoto for us.
Good luck

Do you know what you ask?

I know you will ask me like that.
You don't know what you are talking about, you are comparing apple with orange.

Ya, satoshi is the origin dev and keep anon, but he is not the only dev of bitcoin.
Most of other devs who contribute to bitcoin reveal their identify.
What about silkcoin?? I see nobody reveal their identify.

I keep some silkcoin, so don't think I wanna silkcoin die, I am just asking something that I should ask, and I have right to know.

If you pretty sure silkcoin won't be scam, and you will refund me when it happen, I can just shut up.

Dont forget that the premine was announced right from the start, so why do trolls need to make a big deal about it?
If you dont like it, then move on to some other crap coin, this coin has a solid future that alot of coins dont have.

Secondly, the community was more than happy to have this percentage double, since there was general agreement to lower the block reward on the second POW stage, so naturally everyone expected this.

Lets move on and forget about the trolls.

I also love how anybody with factual information gets negative hits on trust. Real professional you scamming dipshits.

because you are so professional?

tell us again about murraycoin being on the verge of a 10x increase ... at least if that happened now, someone might get their money back!

But the devs are here, pseudonymously, right?  Who are they, and what have they worked on before?  I assume this isn't secret.

if the market comes into play.. we dont want any repeats of any other previous "silk" themed markets.

the devs should not reveal anything

Don't make the man important. Actually, I am really greatfull to megaman. Because of him the price is depressed under 4000 sat for a couple of days and I already managed to accumulate over 600k SC now. When we see 10 k in a couple of days, I might reward him. What do you guys think, would 0.5 btc be an appriopriate reward for him when SC reaches 10K?

SC will never exceed 6000 again which is actually lower than where I told you all to sell at. It will almost certainly be under 2000 by this time next week. If the dev sees the writing on the wall and dumps before then it will be even lower. You guys just make up prices while I tell it like it is.

I think so too, volume is drying up, only some believers holding on, they will panic sell soon. The premine % is shocking

please rethink your investment and don't be the new bagholder here!

Dude everyone is responsible for their own actions. If people buy and hold, it means they've already accepted any possible consequences that may arise from that decision.

I'm actually happy that this premine exists.
The devs and the silkcoin team need to be compensated for the time and effort they're putting into this project.
It's hard to keep people motivated to do their best if they're not getting anything in return.

On a side note, if there were going to be dumping of the premine, the ideal time would've been when SC first got on Mintpal.
Everyone knows that most hyped coins that get on Mintpal experience a massive initial pump.

I for one will be holding the SC I bought. If in a few weeks, my SC is worth $0 then that's ok because that's a scenario I'm comfortable with. Anyone who invests in crypto is aware of the risks involved. It does not always have to be a scam. There are a number of things that could go wrong in the crypto world that would cause all coins to become worthless.

Anyway looking forward to the white paper  Cool
Keep up the good work devs!  Smiley

So... who should we sell to?
Say I am a massive bag holder. Say I mined and bought 3 mil SC. Rhetorically of course.
Now you have so nicely warned me of this "scam" from the goodness of your heart.
So now I will sell.. who should I sell to?
You want other people to buy and become bag holders? That doesn't make sense.
If this is a scam then I guess I will just have to put up with my loss. I shouldn't pass it on to other folk who are poorer than me.
But you suggest I do that. Like a ponzi scheme eh?
That is not very nice of you.

One option is that you are actually the scammer. Either trying to extort money from the dev like our friend MEGAtroll.
Or you are trying to buy up cheap coins. Either way, you are a liar and a fraud.

No - by selling you are hurting the dev. The dev still has some premined coins he wants to unload otherwise he'd already be gone. A lot of those buy orders are either from the devs trying to prop the price back up (too late) or from really stupid people that will just lose their money regardless. It's one thing to be holding a bag of coins and holding out hope - it's hard to cut your losses and walk away even if you know it's the right move. It's another level of stupidity entirely when you're actually still out there buying Silkcoins. My primary motivation is for people to stop buying and cut the head off this scam. Buying coins just means you are supporting criminal activity. This eco-system will never amount to shit whitepaper or not. The dev is here for one reason - to string you along long enough to unload all of their premined coins. This guy would much rather start a new scam than try to nurture this one much longer. This isn't his first scam and isn't his last.

This whitepaper had better be great Smiley I think listing the steps is a positive. Its also a positive to create some forward momentum. The fud will never stop but there is 1 thing that causes people to ignore fud. Thats green candles heading up. I believe this coin will approach 0.0006 in the next few weeks.

I admit the premine seems a bit steep but consider this are you going to work on a coin non stop for weeks for free?? Of course not. So lets see how this dev and his team continues forward.

Steve
Why everybody thinks so small minded, how on earth to create a good coin without any starting money? Yes you can get investors but that is exactly the oposite of openess. Any investor will manipulate the price for the benefit of himself.
Premine is needed to be independant and to build a stable platform and get momentum to make this a succes!
Every coin was spend by devs for the benefit of Silkcoin NOT for themselves!  Please do some research and look at the premine addresses and Actions.

People if you dont like the coin or what it will be, leave it alone and regret later. Or do you also walk into any store in real-life and scream stuff you dont like without any reason.....?

This premine seem to be the hot issue so let's recap:

-Originally intended as a 2% premine for promotion etc based on a 100 milliion total coin count.
-The second POW phase was altered, because the community requested it which resulted in a about 42 million coins. Rasing the premine percentage to 4,4%
-The premine adresses are publicly known and still hold the coins that are left.

I propose that the Silkcoin team make a publicly available record on how the coins are spent and keep this updated as coins are being spent.

The main thing is that the premine addresses have been made public and everyone can watch the accounts, besides alot of it will be used for bounties, and development costs etc.

In all fairness, i dont have any problem if the developers get a stake in the coin from the start, as long as its not excessive, and this goes for any crypto currency, at the end of the day, they are the ones that do all the hard yards to make the coin, so its only fair.

Nobody wants to watch the account you goon. That doesn't negate a crippling premine. These guys are ripping you off and you defend them? And also they have dumped plenty of coins - just happens that they got a solid instamine in there as well to help fool you even more. A 4.5% premine is unacceptable. There is no excuse and the coin was doomed the second the dev selected that premine. He probably would have made just as much money with a premine half the size because the coin would survive a bit longer. Triple digits by early July. Mark my word. The longer you hold the more you will lose.
