I'm having issues with my 7950 rigs. No matter what I try, none of my 7950 cards (all 16 of them) will run above ~600Kh/s. Here is my current command line:

I'm seeing people getting ~1.5Mh/s+ with the above settings but I can't seem to replicate it. The only thing I haven't tried upgrading the drivers. I'm on Catalyst 12.9 running Xubuntu 12.10.

Any ideas? I think I'm basically down to upgrading the drivers but I wanted to get some input before I go down that long road with Linux and mining cards...

you will have to use the modified miner x11mod from other thread - it will give you 3.65mhs

i have it running stable in win8, but crashes on my other rig win7

I have removed AMD catalyst fylly and downgrade to 13.1 driver and still nothing. Mining in scrypt mode works flawless...
But i want darkcoin kernel to be used!

Anyone with some good ideas?

Well, the 4870 supports an older OpenCL 1.0 which might mean it doesn't support including files that are not relative to it's path(in this case, temp folder). And perhaps other features which these OpenCL kernels are using that it doesn't support.

Why the efficiency is lower at lower VDDC? The power consumption increased squarely with the voltage, so the efficiency should be lower.

For my mining rigs using the girino miner, with combination of 7970 and 7990 (total 8 GPUs), the power consumption is 770W, the hash rate is 19.5 MH/s, so it is 25 kH/s/W.

I underclock and undervoltage. Vcore = 0.94v, core/memory clock = 830/1000MHz.
