I think we are just looking a break even on this hardware with BTC prices at the current level

Who is forcing you to exchange the BTC?
No one is forcing anyone but there is no guarantee it will go up either, since the ATH it has been on a steady trend down.

the miners dilemma - sell or hold...

For second time after Silk Road we see a real use for Bitcoins in the news!

What was it Zvi, has bitcoinhookers.com gone live ? Smiley

Close. It's The Fappening!!!
Last I checked it cost 0 BTC.

http://insidebitcoins.com/the-fappening-bitcoin-ransom-demanded-for-hollywood-nude-photos-hack/ We were talking about the news...not about internet freedom Smiley

One week for the Group Buy orders is over.
Would be nice to compare some pools and or different travel times to the Data Centers.
Till now I mined only 0.5 BTC in P2Pool... First day hosted in ST DC. My shares and the pool luck sucks these days... Sad

First time miner? It's called variance and it usually levels off in time.

Wanna buy a Tesla? Visit TeslaBargain.com first!
I bought them from a UK company, who shipped them to me on the other side of the world (New Zealand). You can see prices on their web site: http://www.acoustiproducts.com/en/ucoustic_active.asp The one in my video is the Wood panelled product (in Maple).

So you go the big one? But the site tells "providing a thermal load capacity of up to 7.2 kW", so that's no more than 2 x SP30/31 with 1200W left for a S2/S4 at best. So why did you go for the big one if you can't put more in due to thermal load restriction?

I'm anxious about the video.

Haven't you forgot something?

* Take picture and post it here.

Excuse me for intercepting. Here's a photo of some of our customers' machines. There's 48 kW running in that rack so far, and we only stopped filling it because we ran out of SP30s.

Yes, I know we need to clean up those cables. We're still changing the port connectivity around; we'll make it neat when we're done rearranging.

That cable mess really hurts my feelings Tongue

Awesome setup though. And insane density, props for that.

Run a Bitcoin node.
On my to-do list:
* Upgrade the firmware to the latest version
* Install the rubber feet. I think this might reduce vibration noise.

What are you getting for temps with the enclosed cabinet?  Got A/C blowing at it?
When I was there tonight I believe the exhaust temperature was around 61C, next time I'm there I'll check again. No a/c, the air is drawn in from one side of the building and vented out the opposite side.

Wow, that's nice, though expensive, I'll nevertheless have to look through their website. Wink

Nice cabinet.  Data Center quality for the soho.  What did you end up paying for that?

I'm an enthusiast, and enjoy hosting the hardware myself. I ordered the cabinets before super-cheap hosting like toom.im was available. Purely from a financial point of view the cabinet doesn't make sense. Beautiful product though, and the pleasure of owning them is part of what I get out of this hobby.

I received my 2 x SP30s yesterday, and installed them in my quiet rack cabinet.

If you don't mind, I'd like to know more about those "quiet rack cabinet".
I posted a video of an SP10 running in it earlier on this thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.7194614

I'll take a video of the SP30s running in one too and post it up (different cabinet, different location). Stay tuned.

These are impressive units! Definitely the "Big Boys Toys" of the Bitcoin mining world.

I got them all hooked up, and they were up and mining as soon as I logged in and entered my pool details. Damn, that was easy. I hung around for a while watching them, and stressed myself out a little bit when they stopped mining. I should have just walked away and left them to it, knowing that they do a series of performance stress-tests to find the optimimum operating speed before PSU/ASIC failure. Sure enough, they settled down into their optimum groove all by themselves, probably still adjusting as they have only been running about 16 hours so far.

These bad boys are the rockstars of my collection. Hash rate at the pool as at 16 hours:
SP30A 4.5 TH/s
SP30B 4.4 TH/s

On my to-do list:
* Upgrade the firmware to the latest version

In a couple of days if you would be kind enough to tell me how much BTC you average daily, I would be grateful.

no need to wait, you can plug in numbers here and see BTC/day
http://www.bitcoinx.com/profit/
4.5Th=0.1147 BTC/day (right now)

Thanks
