To all our customers (even the unreal provocateur ones) - we're ok.
We got a lot of heartwarming emails and we wanted to thank you.

It's not an easy situation for us, but we'll manage. Rest assure that the orders will be shipped on time.

Some facts:

- Our houses and families are within range of the missiles. Most of the population are.
- Our offices are about 100 meter from Intel 22nm Fab (soon 10nm Fab), which means that we have excellent Iron Dome coverage.
- Flextronics manufacturing plant is in the far north, well outside the range of the current conflict. Shipping is done from there.
- The mandatory enlisting of reserved forces is minimal. None of our engineers and employees have been drafted.

Guy
Can you see the smoke from there?
Son-of-a-bitch!!!  Now they are shooting from Lebanon too!!!  Please, please, please don't hit the miners at the shipping facility.

Clueless!
would 'baby' purr better? (ie how cold is too cold or don't matter)

You can't have too cold when it comes to mining machines. (as long as you don't have condensation)

ok overkill it is ...getting a couple thermostat controlled attic fans for the other windows....get the heat out some that way

if that in conjunction with this little a/c plan ...so be it....overkill it shall be!

(will have to take pics this is gonna be about as energy eff as turning an a/c unit on in a screened porch .but hey if it keeps
the miner cool)

now if this guy would just be right by say august 2014 (notice I added the year ..this guy drank the super kool aid)

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/currency/10960012/Bitcoin-price-to-hit-2000-by-end-of-the-year.html

the basmement could then look like this ...heh vrooom vroom

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRH-Ywpz1_I

(man that was a bad movie)

Clueless!
Also, you have to consider temperature increases and statistical variance of hashing speed etc.
It is normal that the hashrate can go down by 30-100 GH if the unit gets warmer (e.g by 7 degrees....).

crap...what is the best temp for say sp30 (ball park guess?).... decided to stick the sp30 sept and the Titan KNC miner
in bsmt ....(cheapo.....figured 40 days of cooling vs 2-3 months heat in winter)  .prob was not my wisest move

in other words just from the get go should I have something like the window a/c unit (with say looped flex a/c type tube 16") from
front of regular basement window...about 3'ft across ceiling and then just drape the last 3 ft straight down over the sp30 unit?

would 'baby' purr better? (ie how cold is too cold or don't matter)

maybe i should just shoot for overkill in the first place (doable if a pain in the a*s)

(well..this project certainly is getting out of control)

Is it possible to get the SP10 1.3.49 firmware back in manual selection available versions? Thx!

Done.
Not recommended to downgrade. Why do you want it?
If you downgrade FW, do factory reset because config files not backward compatible.
I have DCR 1 and I tried all the updated firmware till now and I still want to go back to 1.3.49 as I find it rock solid best performance on my machine.

Ok, please update me, if it is best I will investigate.
What is the problem with 1.5.X?

This is how it looks on 1.3.49
...

and this is how it looks on 1.5.2
...

Overall lower and more variable hashrate, sometimes it hashes 1.33 sometimes 1.38 but never goes above 1.4. The 1.3.49 was fire and forget, for 30 days 1.4 THs, 1.5.2 seems to forget the setup than waste hashrate finding another every 30 minutes and every time it finds another, you can see it on the last hour graph. Even restarts cgminer on it's own when there was no obvious reason to do so. So I prefer the stability of 1.3.49 thats it. BTW these are all observations made on turbo fans, highest rate setting.

Yes, 1.5.X is very dynamic and aggressive in it's scaling, and it does restart sometimes (it get's into situations when it prefers to start scaling over) but if you take the HW error rate into account you will see that 1.5.X still gives you higher hash-rate then 1.3.X in the pool.

I recommend you staying with 1.5.X.

Guys, it is hard for me to test SP10 degradation over days with all the SP30 work going on.
If you see degradation, please send me DCR, ASICs and front page (graphs and temperature).
It is usually easy to know the problem from those pages.

Zvisha:

Im running the newest firmware and the speed degradation is back.
After 3 or 4 days I see a loss of about 50GH/s at the GUI on one
ASIC, and about 20 - 30 on the other.  After a reboot they spool
back up to about 1.45 and 1.40 then a slow slide down again after
they get back up to speed.  After 5 days I think I lose about 50GH/s
each before I reboot.  Im on 208V power and getting about 22 - 24
degree air.

Can you please send your graphs and ASIC/DCR stats pages to [email protected]?

Noticed something odd with my 2 machines now I have access to them

Code:
MHS av=1207389.18,MHS 5s=1204761.85,MHS 1m=1204590.87,MHS 5m=1204600.79,MHS 15m=1204560.47
MHS av=1210265.57,MHS 5s=1204360.94,MHS 1m=1204303.10,MHS 5m=1198754.91,MHS 15m=1200041.68

Both are reporting around 1.2TH, but the gui and my pool are both reporting over 1.3TH, any ideas why the discrepancy ?

Known issue. The cgminer API aren't reporting ok. Important is GUI and pool.

Thats it.
I changed it to something much more simple, non complex and now works.
WebGUI is good to go with long complex passwords but the SSH seems to require lower.

Now that I can access, what kind of cool stuff can I see??
It would be cool to see the actual CGminer output screen running.
Im a non Unix person unfortunately.

Congrats!

As for cgminer, look here
