There's going to be a jump of almost 30 Petahash in 6 days.

Does anyone know the reasons why there is so large difficulty jump (around 25%) this time?

Some new mines being started somewhere? The hardware being replaced in established mines?

If so, do you know which mines and what is their Petahash input?

How many BTC do you folks predict the August and September SP30 machines will mine before they operates at a loss ?

August: 19 BTC
September: 16 BTC

Here is the calculation. Of course, it is just speculation, but at least it is based on regression instead of a static difficulty increase forecast: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1P_rgP9XnBvuznWdRi7IUKizQHUR0DNxDrl08H90juzc/edit#gid=0

I am actually eager to know when chips are scheduled to arrive at spondoolies´facilities.

Is it mid July?

i think that's the case, but don't quote me on that

I hope Guy will get some good news in Eastern asia. There is a noticeable drop of posting/enthusiasm here, no doubt because of the crazy ASIC deployment in the last few days.
I would assume atleast around 6PH is from KnC alone though.

They have atleast 3PH refunded units plus the ones they ordered for their own mine to deploy, so this estimate is actually low.

i'm fairly sure the 'refunded' units went directly to their PH farm of 28mm modules (I'm sure the 20mm boards snap in nicely what i would do)

so why return equip 'refunded' if it is already in the pipeline and you can refund and re-direct to your large PH farm....i think folks are gonna be shocked
how much they are gonna get of the network

(hope I'm wrong)

Searing

That is actually what I said (atleast meant to say).

They ordered atleast the same for themselves, and now they have additional units that customers didn´t want to own.

B) I don't spend any time fiddling with my SP10 trying to "get the damn thing to work" ... I like miners that I can just plug in and they work. I have literally never opened the case on my SP10.

Too true ... Sponds made a VERY resilient and stable miner in the SP10 ... and I've been very pleased with the performance of my two, and right now summer in the UK warmed their space to intake of 42  degrees C today ... still they mine away unaffected.

Run a Bitcoin node.
After seeing the mess that KNC just released called the Neptune I would say that you guys are the only shop that actually knows how to build a machine. The rest of the competition is just hacked together crap compared to your shiny box's. Beautiful software too.

I agree, but what's the point?  My Avalon's didn't last a year.  My S1's aren't going to last a year.  Not a lot as far as mining equipment is going to last more than a year.
The point is:

A) I'm not worried that my SP10 (or up-coming SP30s) will burn my house down. I am actually worried about the Neptune I have coming after reading the KnC thread (potentially overloaded single pci-e connector per board)

B) I don't spend any time fiddling with my SP10 trying to "get the damn thing to work", unlike my S2 (batch 2) which is currently out of action while I wait for a replacement controller board. I like miners that I can just plug in and they work. I have literally never opened the case on my SP10.

I suppose 24 chips down? that's ~4% down on hash rate.

But still chugging along at www.michigan-colocation.com/index.php/server-colocation/bitcoin-miner-hosting

I'm running my SP10 at the same DC and they have been great. I didn't mean I couldn't find a place, I meant that the margins are so thin to begin with it is hard to give up anything on a monthly basis. I'm basically "cloud hashing" using my own equipment and paying someone to power it, cool it, insure it, and provide Internet access for it. Normal cloud hashing contract would most likely be more money since of course they would want to charge for the hardware itself also.
+1 for Michigan.

The XXXXXX means ASIC not working. If it's whole row - 8 ASICs - probably DC2DC connector got disconnected in shipment. It happened in small percentage of the units (in SP30 we changed the connector so this should not happened). If your limitation is not DC2DC current, 1 loop down should not effect you much since other ASICs just start working faster.  If your limitation is in DC2DC, you will loose ~4% of your hashing power. You know that your limitation is DC2DC if the system is not using it's full 1260W limitation.

Some ASICs that have border-line personality run are toggling and get better after system restart Smiley

why do say 24 chips down?  isn't it 8 of 192 Hammer ASIC chips off/down?
ASIC chips no. 24 to 31 are down.

BTW, what are you running your fan speed at?
are you running 'turbo mode'?
have you tried tweaking it to get more out of it?

I am running "turbo fans, highest rate" haven't tried to tweak this one yet. haven't had a chance. been playing with habaneros.

was guessing at the chips thing.
