Allright,

RMA is close, Unit will be on my way tomorrow (I guess).

Hope I can hash a bit more coins with it ;-)

We're sorry for our slow response time due to Passover holiday.

Guy

many thanks for that, Guy.

I received no such pleasantry in my mail from Barbara.

She has decided however, contrary to the previous 'bordering on libelous' mail to finally agree to maybe swap the dead board for a working one.

maybe...

if it hasnt 'rusted/corroded' in the fortnight i was told NOT to ship it back because it was 'working perfectly' and 'the ONLY reason it would not be, was if it was incorrectly installed'

bearing in mind it arrived dusty, scratched & non-functional.

You dont find now 2.5.12 in menu because I warned spondoolies support for this problem, so they deleted from the menu.
But the question is still here ...
do you think spondoolies might give me a new controlboard ?

there are reasons for reboot (sometimes need to poweroff all the rigs)
there are reasons also for downgrade firmware (the original firmware, 2.5.26, I feel it more agressive increasing Th mining )
I think We all obviously want maximum time mining, but nobody can imagine that one option in menu official firmware can brick the miner.
After i communicate to support , that firmware dissapear from menu )
first i now check my miner.you don't want use official firmware and force install firmware by your idea.

first i now check

well I just disable another asic, third one in 2 months!

Only nderclocking to 0.64-0.645  make it stable again. hashing only 2.8Ghz instead of advertised 4.5

so far I am not very happy with the spondoolies the only miners that didnt give me any trouble are S3 and the S5 of bitmain. (s4 is sometimes a pain also)

I am afraid on this rate disabling one or two chip every month over a couple of months the log will say;

Disable every ASIC and BUY something else, anything else would be fine  Angry

You really expect some high end product when you see a team of good engineering working on something. Its a new machine and dying 3 chips in 2 months will I didn't overclock anything and the temp of the room was always below 27 degree. Its a real disappointment so far.

How were your voltage/overclock settings before the ASICs died? Medium, high, highest or custom?
I feel that running them @ highest pushes the chips to the limits which results in malfunctions long-term, even at low room temperatures. I am running my SP30 at medium overclock settings @4Th/s, although now as weather gets hotter will probably go even lower, 0.65/0.66v @3.4Th/s just to be safe.

its was on the stock setting of low 0.655 and high 0.75

there are reasons for reboot (sometimes need to poweroff all the rigs)
there are reasons also for downgrade firmware (the original firmware, 2.5.26, I feel it more agressive increasing Th mining )
I think We all obviously want maximum time mining, but nobody can imagine that one option in menu official firmware can brick the miner.
After i communicate to support , that firmware dissapear from menu )

hosted 10 km of my home, if i reboot for any reason it is incognite if the sdcard will be ok or not.
and i normally work remote, so i must go there.
yes they sell for 150$ ... but it really cost that ?
and it is not matter if it cost big or not.
it is matter of warranty product or not.
why you reboot, why you touch firmware. If mining rig work don't touch rig.this is money make machine not toy.
