Just for reference

My GTX 750ti SC EVGA cards do 1.79 Mhash average (50 of these on spr at the moment) with no OC beyond factory.  These are purpose built rigs with 8gb of RAM and Celeron CPUs

3 x GTX 950 does right at 2 Mhash alongside 2 750ti in the same machine.

A GTX 970 windforce does 4.5Mhash, but this is a much faster CPU (don't know if this matters).

I have 2 5-card GTX 960 machines that are absolute MONSTERS at everything I have tried them on.  I don't remember the exact hashrate they did on spr, but I think they were about 500 watts at the wall.  They are on something else at the moment, and at a different location, so I can't verify.

I haven't measured the power draw any of my faster cards, because they are not dedicated miners.  I'll try to get the 970 numbers for reference

This is using sp mod 8 private miner, because he hasn't sent me any updates.  My email address changed after I bought it, so I can't blame him.  But I have been EXTREMELY happy with everything I have purchased from him.

ALL are rock solid, and will run for a month+ at a time.  A 6-card 750ti machine will draw 375 watts at the wall with no voltage mods.  That could probably be significantly lower, but I haven't played with it because they are dead stable on anything I have mined with them

Hey, sp    Please pm me when possible

Just for reference, also

sp mod 9 private miner
Rig 2xGTX1070 power limit100 -> 2x6,8Mh = 13,6Mh 350watts
Rig 2xGTX1070 power limit 49 -> 2x5,2Mh = 10,4Mh 220watts =))

In all seriousness, bitcoin with SPR ServiceNodes pushing up the full node count is an exceptional model.

You can carve that in stone!

I'll be carving it on my g/f ass if we get to 10% of BTC's value

Another FUNNY!  I like your style, amigo

Did my PM reach you, or did I do it wrong?

Thanks to just2laff for a nice BTC donation that I just received.
I will put that to good use (next months server bill), it really helps.

georgem

EDIT: I'm now working overdrive on the new update, .... gasp... please stay tuned.

Yes, I just answered your PMs, sorry for the delay.
I also received a few spammy PMs with "questionable" offers, lol, (as I do pretty much every other day)...
so I had to look twice to isolate your helpful PM's.

Not trying to change the subject back, but I must agree with this sentiment.  Please keep up the good work, georgem, and I'll always keep some machines on spr for "network security".  I've been following this from about day 15, and plan to keep doing so for some time.

Thank you, I really appreciate it.

Thanks everybody else too, who helps keep the lights on!

* Edit* (actual count 47 + 3 gtx 950) (plus 3 gtx 970).  This will be increased a couple when I get the rest of my machines back to snuff.  The 10 x GTX 960 are doing eth @ 12Mhash each.  The 14 x 7970/R9 280x will stay on ETH for a while, also.

Yes, I sold some when it went to 18k.  But I donated some, then, also.  I’ll keep a couple 6 x card machines on for the duration.  I couldn’t pass up quark when I was making .25 BTC a day, but I still kept some here.  Enjoy

50?

Fuck me sideways with a pineapple  Grin

Yessir, THAT was FUNNY.  And I'll continue to keep some going on it, though maybe not as many.  My wallet getting pretty fat, again.  I did have 56k stolen about a year ago, and have tried to do better....  I won't go into details, but the pineapple was involved...

I hope this project fulfills the potential it has

I'm all for gun rights. In an ideal world we wouldn't need or want them, but it is a huge disadvantage not to carry. I don't want to have to rely on the SWAT team getting to my location and neutralizing an idiot (or idiots) with an assault rifle(s) or whatever weapon(s) they have while I find a place to hide. Much rather go out guns ablaze and if I go down, hopefully I'll take the bastard with me.

Those bastards are cowards and afraid, so just hearing that other people have guns will make them run for cover. You don't even have to be a good marksman to succesfully sabotage their plan.

In light of a lot of these events I think it's also highly important for the public to be vigilant in areas where large crowds are gathering, especially for political events. I think it's pretty safe to assume that attacks like these will continue to occur at large gatherings where mass damage can be inflicted and there is little to be done to prevent at least a few casualties.

Even in harmless situations I find large crowds to be very scary and intimidating. So I'm in alert mode all the time.
Just being at a large concert and having a few hundred people suddenly "collectively decide" (without warning) to move 10 meters in one direction is scary as fuck. Emergent behaviour of large masses is escalating quickly.
And that's just the harmless gathering of people who want to have fun and listen to music, lol.

Education and awareness are fairly good tools for the general public. I think some schools in America do active shooter drills now - just like they do for earthquakes and fires. It's pretty sad that it has come to that. I know I've taken a short course on what to do during an active shooter situation for a job I took. I often have it in the back of my mind that something could happen when I'm around large crowds of people.  Sad

Very good. But sadly your own government works against you by trying to take your right to bear arms away.
After all their first goal is to control population, not make you stronger/freeer.

Thirty minutes before the attack I received a Snapchat video of an acquaintance of mine who was celebrating "Bastille Day" in Nice with her friends. It scared the living sh#t out of me when I heard about the attack, luckily she's alright.

I'm glad to hear everything is alright.

But when will this end? Will it ever? This makes me so angry, but what can we do? Lips sealed

It's important that we don't let government take away more of our freedom just so we can feel "more secure".
Government always abuses such situations to further restrict our liberties.

Life is inherently risky, I think we can't get rid of evil people, but we can be vigilant and not stand there like sitting ducks, or like ostriches who stick the head in the sand...

People really need to be armed, because most of the time terrorists won't even try to attack victims who can defend themselves. They need victims who are helpless.

We need to make it hard for evil people, not easy.

Look at the last terror acts around the world, they mostly happened in gun free places where they knew people are unarmed and unprepared.

Ni dieu ni maître

I say arm the population. This is only going to get worse, people need to be able to defend themselves...

Sadly, france has very strict gun control.

Maybe next they will try and ban trucks? That'll teach the bad guys... /sarc
