Another person has created 3 accounds taking spreadcoin, spread and SPR. (and they didn't even bother putting in a capital S)

Sounds like this person has a business plan.
If spreadcointalk really gets cracking, and he gets to sell those names for money, then good for him.
And good for us, since this means that people consider spreadcoin so famous and valuable that they are going to pay for a mere username.

So no complaints here.

hi all ...

just a quick question ...

at almost 180MHash and 24hours of mining - not a single block found and no coins in either of my wallets ...

how normal is this?

#crysx

Just do the math. Smiley

Divide your hashrate by the network's average and you'll get a rough idea of what % you should be earning.

So.. what do you have against decentralization ?

Have you named your privkey pool yet ?

ok ...

currently 4.66GH ...

so 180MH / 4660MH = 0.038626609

which means SOMETHING is likely to have at least had a look into the wallets Smiley

what im saying is NOTHING has happened within a 24hour period in either of the wallets ...

ive been a miner for a while and my farm has grown extensively ... ive allocated 180MH to spreadcoin and followed the instructions ...

NO coin has ever given me nothing ... no coin ...

so either i am doing something wrong - or the chances of 'mining' this coin and getting even small enough to call a deposit into the wallet are very very slim ...

is 180MH too little to mine spreadcoin? ...

as for having anything against decentralization - where on earth did you get that idea? ...

im completely all for it and hell bent on the core of it - as well open sourcing ... Wink

what i dont really understand from your response is this - 'Have you named your privkey pool yet ?'

was that a dig at me? or actually a piece of information that will be helpful? ...

im tired and not too focussed at the moment - its night here :|

tanx in advance ...

Are you sure you've set you rigs correctly?

Not impossible to happen...but something might be not proper configured, specially the spreadcoin.conf

ive set conf as per the op - and have setup the miners ( found out only four allowed to be pointed at any wallet at any one time ) as per the port and user / password ...

no errors - but mining like crazy - with absolutely not one block hit ( though blocks are being found in the network - or at least it says it is ) ...

it seems the setup is correct but im not sure now ...

a wallet is running and the miners are pointed to the wallet using the wallets ip and port number as well as username / password ... the conf file is exactly that of the op apart from the username and password ...

what else could be wrong? ...

im stumped ...

Yes ! Roll Eyes A multi faceted ponzi is exactly what a dev making fraudulent claims of true decentralization needs !

Fyi.. the 800 mhash whales and insiders will use their unfair advantage to price 99% of you out of the market.

I'll let your imagination decide how their greed and (3rd party Shocked ) control of the network will affect things.

@eduffield and chums and/or wannabe's ..

Have you ever legitimately EARNED anything in life ?

Time to get off that high horse champ. No one has to prove anything to a faceless guy on the internet.

Got the 290X to 47.35% (3.89MH/s) and the 280X to 36.65% (3.02MH/s).
What GPU and Memory Speeds?

1125 core on both, 1500 mem on 280X, and 1600 mem on 290X.

Got the 290X to 47.35% (3.89MH/s) and the 280X to 36.65% (3.02MH/s).

So , AMD earning some respect here...290X optimized doing the same as the 970GTX non-optimized Tongue

Consumption?
Fuck if I know, my last two Kill-A-Watt meters melted.
Damn!!! My 290X won't stay stable past 1050 core and 1250 mem. I get a solid 2.7MH/s though.

Reference card? My ref card sucks, too.
Hi, how come that u have that kind of speed on 280x (3.02MH/s), since i have ASUS 280x (1100 core, 1500 mem, I 21) and the most hash that i can squeeze out is 2MH/s? Do u have custom spreadcoin.cl? thx

Wolf0 is a programmer...he works with OpenCL platform for AMD cards...his miner is optimized.
Oh thx for the answer Smiley. I bet i'm not the first one asking, but is there any chance to get this optimized miner Cheesy?

Decentralize Everything
Hey Stonehedge,

As others have stated, not a whole lot has changed since you last checked in.  Dynamic masternodes and the masternode GUI screenshots are exciting, but I'm not buying anymore SPR until I see everything functioning on testnet.  I went through my initial accumulation (as I did with DRK) and now I'm waiting for actual functioning code before I add to that position.

The whole reason I am here is because of Mr. Spread's obvious coding talent and creativity.  I invest in developers, not coins.  I trade shitcoins for fun, but the few actual crypto investments I have are because of the developers.  Developers like Evan Duffield, the giant Ripple dev team, Mr. Spread, and a couple other coins with good devs.

Should you add to your position?  Beats me.  Depends on your risk-reward appetite.  I still consider Spreadcoin to be reasonably risky which is why I'm not adding to my position at present.  If you're happy with the coin you have at present, then do what you're doing -- check in on occasion to see what has changed, if anything.  If you'd like to go for a bigger hit, add a little.  But in the end, it's all about what you're comfortable with.

With all that said, I suspect you already knew all this and are kicking the tires of what you suspect is a pretty good car Wink

Nice well reasoned response.  Thanks.

You're right.  I am here tyre kicking what I suspect is a pretty good car however I am put off by the amount of cheerleading that is posted in comparison to actual news.

Other than that, I'm a little wary of a dev who doesn't use their real name although I also understand reasoning why Mr Spread might want to stay anonymous.  It took a bit of soul searching before I decided to use my real name as part of the Darkcoin team.

Someone has created 7 accounts on the Spreadcoin forum.
Another person has created 3 accounds taking spreadcoin, spread and SPR. (and they didn't even bother putting in a capital S)

Should they be banned? The first 7 may be sold later.

Sad I can't remove unactivated scam accounts! I don't feel like much of an admin.  Sad

The SPR price is quite stable @60k satoshi these days Wink

yes, but volume is low, always less than 10btc in bittrex these days, so this price doesn´t mean too much  Undecided

Small update. elbandi has found that current version doesn't send all the information necessary for lightweight wallets. This new version fixes this. There are also several minor improvements.

Version 0.9.15.3
  • Sent all necessary information to lightweight wallets.
  • It is now possible to start mining with zero threads, this is useful if you want to just unlock the wallet for GPU mining.
  • Make it clear that hashrate displayed in the wallet is only for built-in miner.
  • Fixed bug when user was asked for password to start built-in miner even if miningprivkey was set.
  • Decimal dot in supply in getinfo method.
  • Testnet: it is now possible to mine without connected nodes.

You can download new version from http://spreadcoin.net/

Thanks, what a great project this is!  Cool
