To your ponzi accusation @Hippie Tech - do you also think that Bitcoin is a ponzi, or can only altcoin's be ponzi, why, and do you even know what a ponzi is?

And are you aware that startcoin has funded some of russel brands projects, with more in the pipeline?

You are wasting you time replying to "Hippy Tech", he has cited no actual technical economic flaw in crypto currencies.

This is why he has doodled "666" onto the foreheads of Russell Brand and Max Keiser e.g. calling them Satan or Lucifer. You need a lot of Imagination to believe in Satan, because their is no factual evidence of his existence and most religions believe Satan is bullsh*t designed to frighten children!!!

This is what people do when they have no objective facts or empirical evidence. Everyone, involved in crypto currencies will laugh at that ignorant person's opinions (they have no knowledge about crypto currencies) and calls that ignorant person "stupid" or "retarded".

The person/persons, having failed to convince the more knowledgeable people of his/her opinions leaps and resorts to imaginative insults e.g. they START using imaginative representations of evil to claim the more knowledgeable people are Satan or Lucifer (in this thread). This imaginative insult taps up things that scared people when they were children, therefore they have resonance amongst the more immature adults Wink

This example is not to bad, because it quite fashionable (commonplace) in the West to call knowledgeable people evil.  Grin

All cryptos are FIAT digital currency. Do not use.
Lately, it is as though critics call “scam” the moment they detect the slightest commonality between a real scam and a promising new idea.  I hope the crypto-community breaks through this icy layer of negativity soon.  Heavy premining and cloning an alt-coin are not necessarily inappropriate.  You have to study the purpose and vision of the project in question.  StartCoin's heavy premine is so obviously necessary to the distribution and success of StartJoin that it should not require explanation.  And if Startcoin is merely a clone of BTC or some alt, it matters not.  StartCoin and StartJoin's niche is clearly not to develop a protocol layer like Mastercoin or Counterparty or to develop some fancy new encryption but rather to develop a financially supportive network and community of enterprising individuals.  Has the once  bright eyed and optimistic crypto community really become so jaded and suspicious?  I suppose it is hard to have trust and hopeful vision when most every market is rigged by governments and banks, when the rule of law is dead, and when bail ins lurk on the horizon like black helicopters preparing to dump a diarrhea of toxic derivative sludge laden with GMO corn niblets onto the populace below.

Very nicely put. Negativity and skepticism has a role when people are investing their money. Trolling and abusive language with no real purpose is something that we could all do without.

Abusive language ?  I'm not the one speaking with the NWO forked tongue here.

The Premined wallets link should be added to front page. I didn't know this information was public.

I spent a few minutes and found them using the block explorer. You could have saved me some work had you posted that earlier. lol

Where do they explain who recieved what and how it was spent ?

And what is up with the buggy BE ?

The transactions are not being listed in chronological order and the addys are being labelled as "Bitcoin".

This pops up when the mouse hovers over the faded/ current address.

EDIT

Why the hell am I the first to notice this ?

Yet another sign that this is a cloned crypto fiat hack job.

Fuck this private bank !

They are spent on several things for example rewards and interest rate on startjoin, giveaways on the scratch cards, and some where used for the debit cards. Clearly it requires an amount of trust since we don't have all the details. I have no reason to believe there is anything up with these things, and I trust Jamie. If you can find anything suspicious please share the details.

And why where you the first to find some minor bugs in the block explorer? Probably because you have a different focus than the startjoin crowd. While small bugs in the block explorer is certainly not desirable, it is still usable for the purpose. The focus now is developing the ingredients of a self sustained ecosystem, so Jamie probably have other more pressing tasks. Startwallet is current project, then there will be either the POS system (startcoinpay - https://www.startjoin.com/startcoin_pay) or the Startcoin ATM (https://www.startjoin.com/startcoin_atm).

(Btw, I will report the bug)

johnp : OK

Here is the explanation for the various number of coins:

84 million will be the total ever mined. 54,381,080 is the amount mined so far plus the premine. 22,483,930 are in circulation. The other 32 million are in cold wallets to be given away over time.

Where are you getting this information ?

I see no mention about the premine address or it's status.

You have to be careful when reading those figures as they show the price of the last trade not the current price, so if as is the case on Justcoin and Bittylicious, that trade was some time ago you cannot reliably compare prices. I know the last trade on Justcoin and Bitty was over 9hrs ago as where both mine and the price on Bittrex was about the same as Justcoin.

Thanks Johnp. I was thinking about the volume and not the price.

Ok you just mentioned that you pay quite a premium on Bitty thats all which is quite true for small amounts but if you want to buy a large amount it can work out cheaper as you get all at the same price. At the moment you can buy 56000 on bitty for about 0.00016000 you cant do that on an exchange normally. Obviously this only applies to people in the UK.
