I believe it's time to go on a big exchange. Code is stable, wallet very usable and community is strong.

Some Chinese or Korean exchange may be a good start. With more interest this coin will finally ramp up and go to the moon Wink

HELP NEEDED!

Hey guys! Redis unlocked the same block twice on my pool (in the same second). Which means all the miners got double-rewarded. Strange thing is that we found another block 10 hours later and there was no problem with redis then. I did not touch the system between the 2 blocks I've just figured out what happened recently when I checked the log file. Now the real problem is that obviously the pool can't pay miners cause they've got rewarded for 3 blocks while we've only found 2 so the pool wallet balance is about 36 coins behind. How can I fix this? I read there's no actual database for redis so I obviously can not just edit the data. Or can I? Hope someone's got an idea why had this happened.

I actually have a PR here https://github.com/sumoprojects/cryptonote-sumokoin-pool/pull/18 which should help tackle the issue.

Niels and his team created several PRs for the fork of universal cryptonote pool as well.
Latest one includes mining with a subaddress   https://github.com/sumoprojects/cryptonote-sumokoin-pool/pull/19/file
(There are quite a few pending pull requests at the moment. I hope devs check them out soon and merge them)

Wow! That Ninja edit on the statement regarding this coin being the first to ever conceptualize/implement subaddresses at the top of this page was pretty quick...as soon as I pointed it out. Screenshots are forever.

In my country it is said: To err is human, rectify is divine.

In my country, it is also said: "To own it is honorable and sublime."

Edit: There is nothing "divine" about Ninja edits; it is dodging...hoping nobody catches it.

Lets all share our power and make a JustGrLovesSumo address  Grin
It would took forever, maybe with Quantum PC Cheesy 5 characters is already took like 10 hours and still counting Cheesy I thought it would be few minutes with that Xeon power, but it's not Cheesy

Phillip works on it to improve thread/core usage in order to reduce the time it takes for 5 digits. For some reason atm the app uses 30% of cpu power on any system. Lets see if he makes it.
(Even if he does it will still take lots of time though Smiley )

It's the most underrated coin for some time.

It will break 1$ and never come back at some point.

But patience is the key part.

Indeed!
This coin will be big. Its just a matter of time.

SUMO will have a great future!

Our community has build a very nice vanity address generator that can produce up to 4 preselected digits at an average desktop PC in a matter of minutes.
(5 and above needs time and lots of cpu power)

Download the binaries from here
https://www.dropbox.com/s/s9xhgmcz9q2nevw/vanity-64?dl=0

Use:
./vanity (vanityword)

eg ./vanity CASH will create an address like Sumoo0CASH4cthR4.....
./vanity RICH will give something like Sumoo3RICH2dfe5.....

Along with the address all keys will be produced in order to restore into a functional wallet. No seed words option yet.

Note that the code is still in BETA and has not be thoroughly tested so perform a couple of very small transactions to your newly generated address before deciding to use it in full.

Source code will be available on git (https://github.com/pwhelan) within the day

All credit goes to Phillip Whelan (Mad Jester)
I run this on my VPS with 3x 3.8GHz Xeon, 4 characters is fast, 5 is already running like 4 hours Cheesy
But now I have some SUMO KiCK address Cheesy

SumokoinWP - A WooCommerce extension for accepting Sumokoin

Our community has forked Woocommerce plugin so that wordpress e-shops can use it to accept Sumokoin as means of payment.

You can find it here.
https://github.com/pwhelan/sumowp

All comments and reports are welcome

Definitely a step ahead for Sumokoin. That is a great to make Sumokoin to be widely known and used. Adding a real-life usage is a really good way to make the coin better. And also it could attract more people to use Sumokoin so it will boost the coin price.

To claim that Sumokoin is the first ever to conceptualize/implement subaddresses in the crypto space is either sheer ignorance, perhaps because Sumokoin is their first foray into cryptos and have not used any of the various Bitcoin wallets (both desktop and mobile versions) or it is merely a lame attempt at hyping/pumping/cheerleading for Sumokoin. Hyping/pumping/cheerleading is totally fine...as long as they are based on facts. Otherwise, it will only further taint/tarnish the reputation of this coin before it could even take off.

Hyping/pumping/cheerleading is really not necessary. People in this space do not have a lack of intelligence. They see through the hyping/pumping/cheerleading that do not hold water. They see the value of a crypto with sound fundamentals. As a consequence, its popularity, adoption and increase in value would then be inevitable...but only time will tell.

No shortcuts!

Livecoin keep maintenance for sumokoin wallet for few days, is it true that Livecoin just drop sumokoin from their exchange?

You ve made an account today to post just this thing.
Livecoin upgrades their wallet binaries to Sapporo.
They cant drop the coin even if they wanted to do (rest assured that they dont want to) cause fees were paid to get the coin listed.
If you want to fud at least show up with your everyday btctalk account dont create new ones to post shit.
