SuperNET on AE = UNITY on Bter ?

Yes, but withdrawal is not up yet for Bter->Nxt AE
I am waiting as well. Also need to set up a wallet on Nxt AE to withdraw it to. Are you using an online Nxt AE wallet to withdraw UNITY to or will you use a downloadable one from the following link? http://nxtra.org/nxt-wallet/

I'm using both. At home I use the downloaded NxT client. Away I use trade.secureae.com.

I'm nervous putting in my private keys on a website, but they seem to be legit.
This is my first time using the Nxt wallet. I first downloaded and installed it from http://nxtra.org/nxt-wallet/ (Mac version). Upon first installing the wallet it selected a randomly generated 12-word passphrase for me and gave me an account ID. I closed the wallet and then reopened it. I entered a different passphrase than the one initially given to me to see if the wallet would still give me access. The wallet gave me access to the dashboard but I observed a different account ID than the one given to me when given the randomly generated 12-word passphrase. Is this normal? Why do I get access to the dashboard and see a different account ID when entering an incorrect passphrase? I guess this stresses the importance of never losing you passphrase; otherwise you have no way of accessing the assets tied to a particular account ID ... I think.  Huh

This is exactly the point Smiley
The key maps to an address, is all. Those 12 words are your key. You can open a new account with any key. If you hold anyone else's key you can open their account. But the odds of someone guessing your randomly-generated key? Effectively zero.

Thanks. So there is no local wallet.dat file as is the case for other wallets? Nothing to back up?

Correct. It is a "brain" wallet. The key is your passphrase which is in your brain. Mine is in my password manager tool. Wink
Thanks ... time to memorize those twelve words. I also have them written down in two locations.

I feel like this is a huge problem with nxt that needs to be resolved... (Maybe with trustless 2 factor multisig on your phone). I am so worried that if anything or anyone was able to get their hands on my password then what the hell would I do? There is no "change password" functionality. I would need to go through my assets one by one and transfer them to a new account. Followed by sending my nxt(since I need my nxt to transfer out the assets). With bitcoin it's easy because you just send all your coins to new address, takes a second. With nxt you possibly have so many things in your account; this lack of 2 factor or multisig is a massive problem that needs to be solved asap. I feel paranoid as shit entering my password into secureae. My single account holds everything I own in nxt, including a massive investment in supernet. In bitcoin I would have had 90% of this in cold storage but that does not appear to be possible with nxt and is an extremely paranoia bringing feeling.

Yes, the passphrase defines the account (brain wallet). If you enter a different phrase, you open a different account.
So... never lose it! Tongue

mmmh, brain . . thats my the problem, right there, mine is small . . So, I use "Key-pass" 2.xx (generates loong, raandom, passwords), use with "Data backup" - plug in, and I have backups on USBs, etc. in different locations.

It was said several times before, but you can´t repeat that often enough (sticky? mods ! ) ! !
Oh, and switch it to "auto-type obfuscation", and "secure desktop" to enter your master-password !

At first, its a bit of work, to set up, but then it lets you finally sleep sound, and dream of your wealth . . Smiley

No wallet.dat.
It's a different approach, has pros and cons. There's lots of discussion about it in the NXT community Smiley

Is the value of TOKEN relative to NXT (or anything else for that matter), at my point of sending my TOKEN to the TOKEN/SuperNET exchange account, impactful on the share of SuperNET I will then receive? Or is today 1 TOKEN worth what tomorrow 1 TOKEN will be worth, when exchanging for and considering acquired share of SuperNET? Is there any other reason why I might benefit from not transferring TOKEN now?

I know these are noob questions, I don't think I'm the only one pondering them, even if I'm the only asking Smiley While I know this is an exceptionally complicated and groundbreaking venture, I think the benefits of making things as easy as humanly possible for all who might show interest, is a neglected and undervalued element in the crypto markets.

TOKEN and SuperNET will always have a 1:1 ratio. (Unless jl777 cancels redeems in which case TOKEN will become worthless.)

TOKEN gets no dividend and has no voting rights, so is an inferior version of superNET despite the ability of TOKEN to get superNET at 1:1.

There's zero advantage in holding onto TOKEN rather than getting superNET as soon as possible.

Perfect answer. Mind at ease. Thankyou sir Cheesy

NXT-7Y5B-J8LQ-SL5P-3ULFL (alias: RedeemTOKEN)

If you purchased TOKEN from NXT AE, the above is the redemption address to transfer the TOKEN to.
when the redeem script is run, you will get the SuperNET asset sent. I think in about 12 hours the redeem will be run next by valarmg

If you have TOKEN on bter, it should already have been converted to UNITY and I think by tomorrow it will be possible to deposit/withdraw UNITY <-> SuperNET

James

Transfered my TOKEN to said NXT address. Waiting for the script now...

Anybody knows how to get a rich list? I suppose most whales bought TOKEN for Nxt on Nxt AE, there should be a way to see who holds the largest amounts of tokens.

Thank you, got my "Supernet", as well !

(btw; I would like to know also, where can we get this "how to get rich" - list . . ?  Smiley well, I would like to get the other list, which you mean , as well, dzarmush Smiley  )

So, ELI5:

I transfer the TOKENs i have on NXT asset exchange, to NXT account NXT-7Y5B-J8LQ-SL5P-3ULFL

Wizardry and such occurs in which I need no involvement.

Something called UNITY then appears in my NXT AE, having been swapped for TOKEN, and through this UNITY in my NXT account, I then 'earn'... something... over time, without having to do anything more.

Sorry but really cbf to read acres of pages. If the above is wrong, please ELI2? I'll bring free juice boxes and popup books for all who help.

Close. The asset you receive is actually SuperNET.

All those who sent their TOKEN to the Redeem address should now have received their superNET
https://nxtforum.org/general-discussion/supernetwork-ipopoloniex/msg107698/#msg107698

I will send all TOKEN from the Redeem account to genesis in due course.

Got it. Thanks for all your great work. I'm glad you guys decided on an exchange!

Doesn't make any difference. It's all the same blockchain Smiley
For security reasons I still prefer local clients though.
