That's because the 24hr MA is being recalculated minute-by minute, I think, and is adjusting the price dynamically. If the price is going down, that's because BTCD/BTC went up over the past 24h.

I made the same mistake on the Nxt market, but I just threw up my hands and said, "whatever."

yes that is the official price. It goes up constantly as well, so it would have cost more BTC every day
