Hi.

If you were on the old chain, then yes - you were not part of the network. Swipp forked at block 93 000, anything you sent from version 1 after block 93 000 was sent to the wrong network. If you search for the transaction on http://explorer.swippcoin.com/, you can see it's not part of the blockchain.

However, the 5000 Swipp you sent FROM coinsmarket should still arrive with you once your wallet syncs, because coinsmarket did update. You just didnt receive it because you were on the old client.

You should probably resync your wallet. Backup wallet.dat before you do anything - to be on the safe side... Also backup your private key. The transaction of 5000 Swipp sent from your v1 wallet never occured on the new blockchain, so it should still be with you once you resync.

I know I speak for all of us in the current team when I say that our main motivation with the project is to do something great with Swipp and learn more about the block chain code and improve it (we are all software engineers and love to code). It's all about having fun - doing something we love. The problem with many cryptocurrencies is that they are launched/managed with greed or financial gain as the main motivation. Having huge premines and ICO's. That is also why they fail and get abandoned.

When the original author sold almost all the premine and crawled into his shell, he did a good thing for the currency and the community - if he didn't do that, I doubt Swipp would have had a future.

In our eyes, the currency is very undervalued right now. But again, it's going to take some time to grow the user base and popularity of Swipp. We are sure we will get there eventually though.

Yes, we will.... One more maintenance release to the wallet needs to be released before we are comfortable enough to do that. We are intentionally keeping it simple in order to not attract to many people at once... Wink

There are a few minor things we want to fix first.

We will still try to keep it short though - I personally do not like the monster ANN posts that many/most currencies have. It's just too much

... But we will put out a logo and list some resources and specs... The rest is available on the website.
