They did not circumvent any rules. I am not aware of how much (if any) they bought during presale. I think they bought a significant number of coins on the open market on dips, and there is absolutely nothing "backdoor deal" about that.

Ready for the wallet to be stable, makes it cumbersome for exterior services to support. I support the syscoin team and will help test when/where needed, as I have in the past. I'm not looking so much for merged mining as I am a stable wallet.
Latest Windows QT-Wallet is stable, have not had any reports on it not working for people. (Seems there is still an issue with solo mining on it through, but that is being worked on)

Fee regeneration is currently being tested on testnet. (Dan did post an update on this earlier in the thread)
