I think TagYak is a good idea. It seems that coins with active communities have a bit more 'intrinsic' value (e.g. The Worldcoin Foundation). I know that Tagcoin already has more value than most due to the Tagbond website, but everything helps.

The Concierge of Crypto
Okay. Where exactly are the forums? Or is this updated in the first post? And I'm not on every day, I think I checked out TagYag last night, but the baby cried so I didn't sign up anymore. Am I too late for the TAG give away?

price is up and down ..$2 on btc38.com this morning, down to $1.40 later..but trading very thin at the moment..just cannot buy lots at the moment..Sad BTC price is rising as well also that always affects alts, although less so than normal..

If paypal, payza and others decided it was ok to buy and sell crypto with no chargebacks, then a lot more people would come into the market, which is exactly what is happening in China. People are able to buy using their tenpay and alipay accounts, and cash out to them just as easily, with less than 1% charges. Have to take advantage of that..:-)

btw, forums.tagbond.com is up and running, just need to add some content and users now..no incentives at the moment like tagyak has..Smiley

Live like there is no tomorrow!
I see the users tagobell, Sisyphus Esperanto and nickyg joined TagYak. Welcome guys!

I see atleast two of you found the 'TagCoin Giveaway' topic, at the announcements board at the forum. Well done Wink. You guys still have a couple of hours to earn even more TagCoins over there, as stated in that topic. Goodluck!

Looking at CoinMarketCap, I see we passed the magical $1.50 already! Smiley

@nmak - I think we will keep just BTC and TAG (displayed in 1,000s of millitags shortly), and let people trade their crypto on other exchanges for TAG so they can use it in our platform. I don't really want to become yet another exchange, the trading site we have up there was just to get us going till we integrated something within the site. We will just have a buy and sell section within the TagBank area to make it easy for merchants and customers to quickly buy and sell TAG with their other fiat currency.

I think that is actually a good decision, what you are doing is complicated enough without trying to keep the ever changing world of cryptos happy. I would say you should only think about it in the coming years if there is any value add it would give your tagbond.

Nope..Tagyak is independent of us... We are building our own forums at forums.tagbond.com, but not specifically for tagcoin, so Tagyak will perform that function..:-)...I expect there will be a few forums around Tagcoin..at least I hope so... we will link to all of them.

@Tagbond, thanks for the endorsement of TagYak. If you need any testing done of the RSS feed let me know as I have several sites I'd like to implement them on.

TagYak is needing some site testers so we are giving away TagCoins (quite a bit actually) for those wanting to help out. Just joining and making 1 post can get you a TagCoin. Visit TagYak and read the latest announcement for details.

TagYak would also like to welcome Don007, from here on bitcointalk, as our newest moderator.

@MobGod - at the moment, the tagverts can only be created on the web app, the android app is for searching and taking, presenting etc. Once we get all the features in place, we will revisit the app and probably allow quick creation for personal tagverts only..so that lets you put stuff up for sale quickly on the move..

@SisyphusEsperanto - yes, we were working on that today..it should be working properly now, but there was a kind of mysterious bug that gives that Invalid message - that happens every now and again..hard to pin down right now, but part of the overal bug testing program..Smiley - The system is getting quite hefty..

Not really a big bug, but when I got and redeemed "btbrae TagCoin redeem 1 coupon #2", an error message appeared: invalid_transfer. Still, I got the tagcoin. Thought you'd want to know.

yes, there will be close integration, including single sign on, and added to the menu at the base, so you can quickly go back and forth. Tagverts would be listed under RSS feeds, giveaways integrated to wallets, donations for cool articles like reddit does etc..
Can tagverts been done via the android app?

HODL for life.
If I had to chose something forum specific, I'd go with either phpBB or Simple machines.  Tons of support, and lots of mods and plugins on both to customize the forum however you want.  Whatever way you decide to go, whether that be Vanilla or a BB clone, it's has to integrate with Tagbond.  Maybe there could be system to Tag articles that get a sticky, or a way to tag someone for rep or something.  Or create a linked page from a tagvert to a forum post.  IDK... it just needs to feel like part of the whole system, rather than another thing added to the mix.

I'm a little tired, so don't mind me if I'm rambling incoherently... damn Mondays!

@ny2cafuse - lol, you already guessed what we did, we do have something at forums.tagbond.com, set it up last week using Vanilla, we just haven't had the time to format it and add categories etc. I don't mind if others create forums as well, the more the better and we can feature forums on pages at tagcoin.org as we build it. You are right tho, we need forums to discuss various features of tagbond, of which there will be many...It has to serve as an education and ideas point...Wink I am not set on using Vanilla as forum software, does anyone have any preferences?

@MobGod, what's the URL for your forum?..

@centurion76 - I like Tagyak as a name..lol..and it has my endorsement to do whatever it needs to work..working on RSS feeds this week that will be modifiable to suit different sites (bit like google adsense, but paid on results), so that the site can earn TAG or other currency from ads and rewards.

Wouldn't it be more sensible to just include a forum as a subdomain of Tagbond.com, like forum.Tagbond.com?  It could encompass all the aspects of Tag, from mining to tagverts.

I thought that might the response, and I am not convinced I need to add any more coins.. just getting asked by other coin creators to add...so would prefer to get options from others before making any kind of decision.. on the one hand each coin brings a community membership of their own to Tagbond, but on the other hand..a pain in the ass to deal with technically. But really, if someone wants to interact with Tagbond and TAG, they can always trade whatever they have for TAG..Smiley

Mark I would say that you definitely have to think about it, but i suspect its a thought process that will not have a completely definite and easy answer. Note that some( a fair amount) of your future clients that will use the tagbond system and tagcoins may actually come from the crypto community, whether its litecoins, feather e.t.c and they would have things that they want to have advertised in some shape or form. So you will likely have to add one or two, however that means the price for tagcoins is likely going to be pushed up in "proportion" to the demand from this other communities. In fact I am not surprised that it's already a dollar :-).

I am testing Tagcoin forum now. Will be open soon (probably Wednesday) at Tagyak[dot]org and can also be reached by tagcointalk[dot]org. It is not your usual alt coin forum, and not sure just yet how it will be received. Suggestions are very welcome.

Anyone wanting to help beta test message me and there will be Tagcoins in it for you. Or, you can just join - I'll open up registration, and send tags for any new bugs found.
