Any plans for supporting any other algos

E.g Conceal ccx

What this guy said^. Version supporting Conceal would be ideal. Cheers

What is your --cn_config ?

--cn_config 15*15 is  default for Vegas. I'm using --cn_config 14*14 - this is best for Vega56.

Open your miner profile,go to Advanced and add --cn_config 14*14 parameter.

Maybe that will help Smiley

for sure, it helped

thanks !!!

Maybe you need diffrent OS Wink

I also have rig with 4 reference Vega 56 (flashed with 64 bios).
Here my best results with diffrent OS and BIOS:

TeamRedMiner 0.4.4 under MMP OS 2 (Ubuntu)

 4xVega 56(stock bios)
 core 1200mHz/850mV memory 910mHz/850mV
 7.760kh/s @ 640W from wall

what ppt do u use for ur 4xVega 56(stock bios)?

where can i find if ?

I'm using [Mining OS] MMP OS 2.0 - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/mining-os-mmpos-easy-to-use-linuxwindows-platform-for-mining-5088988
Ubuntu based OS,with easy to config ppt.

Why do people mess w/ max rpm?

Because if I remember correctly stock max rpm is only ~2500, however physically it's ~4500.
In the case you start with a popular PPT for example the 1408/905/1100 one, it's important to be able to change max fan rpm limit to keep it at lower temps.

Miner hangs up with the message that the program is not responding and will be closed. It is necessary to manually restart it.

I don't know, but you can make one yourself w/ ODNT.  Just run it in admin mode, and click on the menu icon in the top left - you should see something in the menu like 'PPT editor'.  I would suggest selecting the option to use your GPUs bios as the source, then just update the populated values w/ your ODNT settings above (once fixed.)

ODNT's PPT editor lacks some important values like max fan rpm.
I suggest using this one
But don't touch values that you don't know!

Why do people mess w/ max rpm?  If you just set all your params in the normal ODNT profile (not ppt), the fan management works just fine, varying fan speed to maintain target temp.  Max rpm should be left at stock, being the physical max the fan can (should) spin.

Only reason I really get into ppt for fans was to adjust zero-fan params, but I think you can even edit those in the profile now?

Hi! May I ask what gpus you are referring to so I know you're seeing the nrs you're supposed to? The speed is about +15% if you're doing Vegas and set up mem timing yourself. We don't include automatic mem timings. If you're talking about Polaris gpus, you should see a power save instead. The reason is that the mem controller is already saturated, it doesn't matter how smart we try to be or how much we optimize the code. The only thing we end up doing is idling more waiting for mem requests, which in turn results in the lower power draw. You can either take that as-is, or you can increase the core clk to boost your hashrate somewhat, but that's only possible to a certain degree.

Just turned it on as it is. Now I'll try to pick up the timings. Thanks for the tip. I don't know if I need to overclock the core... It seems to me that it will give very little.

i didnt flash my vega 56 but i used a ppt from http://vega.miningguides.com/#SoftTables

in gpuz, the default clock is 1408mhz and memory 1100mhz
clock 1400mhhz and memory 900mhz

my ODT settings
GPU_P0=852;800
GPU_P1=991;810
GPU_P2=1084;820
GPU_P3=1138;830
GPU_P4=1150;840
GPU_P5=1202;850
GPU_P6=1212;905
GPU_P7=1400;850
Mem_P0=167;800
Mem_P1=500;800
Mem_P2=800;820
Mem_P3=900;900
Fan_Min=2500
Fan_Max=3000
Fan_Target=75
Fan_Acoustic=2400
Power_Temp=70
Power_Target=0

You're using a PPT meant for a Vega 64.  1100MHz mem is too high (essentially invalid) for a stock 56, as it has much tighter timings.  Obviously it doesn't matter after you update your clocks w/ ODNT, but you should probably get a valid PPT.

Also, your ODNT settings are broken as well - your GPU_P7 voltage should be >= P6.  With these settings, if you're lucky, you're just running at 905mv, but in the past, I've seen all kinds of strangeness w/ out-of-order clocks/voltages.  If you really want to run @ 850mv, you need to reduce P6, as well as Mem_P3 to <= 850.  OTOH, if you want to run at 905, you just need to set P7 to 905.

EDIT: One last thing, you're setting your throttling temp to 70, but your target temp to 75 - this doesn't make sense.  Also, unless your fans/temps are set for noise reasons, 70/75 is quite hot, while your fan_max is actually what most people consider the minimum for mining on a ref.  I would set your fan_max to at least 3500-4000 (again, unless noise is a concern,) and fan_target somewhere closer to 55-60 (even 50 if you can handle the noise.)

thx for ur answer

this miner supports the algorithm cryptonight-pico or cryptonight-ultralite?

Pico = Turtle = cn_trtl
Ultralite = UPX2 = cn_upx2

It's not... Let me put it another way --algo ? for PLE? Or does this miner not work with this coin?

Update. Picked up -a cnv8_trtl. The speed of this miner is not different from SRB.

flash them with 64 bios ?
which ppt should i use ?
