July 20th Terracoin Update - 2for1
The Terracoin Foundation has decided to have a permanent two for one sale on masternodes.
In other words, we have decided to reduce the collateral requirement of masternodes from 10,000 TRC to 5,000 TRC.
We decided to do this because we wanted to make Terracoin masternodes available to more people at a reduced cost, and to balance cost of running a masternode vs rewards of a masternode early on.
This will also allow more people the chance to put in proposals and vote via the decentralized governance.
We won’t be changing the requirements for masternodes after this.
If you already have 10,000 TRC, then your masternode count just doubled!
Remember, each masternode needs its own IP address.
Once the testnet is up and running we will create guides on how to set them up.
We will still be offering shares of Terracoin Foundation masternodes, and working with third parties who also offer them.
We understand that this could cause some market disruption, but with the whale messing with the market anyways, now is the time to do it.
This decision came after long discussion with a variety of different people from the cryptoworld. The final point that changed our minds was that if Terracoin becomes as successful as it should be, then masternodes at 10,000 would just be way too expensive.
It will be worth it in the long run.
For now we just have to hold, put in low buy orders and fight the whale!

This is such a common question that I created a guide on how to do it.
Obviously, once we get the web site updated the guides will look much prettier.
Also for some reason the screen shots look like garbage in Internet Explorer.

The windows wallet has an issue finding nodes. If you go into the console and copy and paste each line below that should fix the issue.

Try making a Terracoin.conf with the nodes in your local roaming folder and see if that way works.

Even at the current price of TRC is readily available to community funds. I propose to create target wallets for listing TRC and start listing on Yobit. Of course, I could personally pay for a listing on Yobit, but then what is the sense of community?

Yobit is fine if you never plan on updating your wallet and are just trying to do a pump and dump. If you plan to have updates to your wallet and you want to have coins go in and out of exchanges then you do not want yobit. Yobit is the roach motel of the crypto exchanges. Coins go in but they don't come out. Yobit wallets are almost always in maintenance and the support does what it wants when they want. They never deist any coins no matter how broken or scammy they are. C-Cex is decent and Cryptopia is a solid exchange that has been growing in use. If you want to add to a better exchange then you would want to get on Bittrex.

We are on the voting list at Livecoin. Everyone should vote! We have 121 votes so far.
We plan on getting on Bittrex once decentralized governance happens. We also have been trying to get people to tweet at Bittrex because if enough interest is show they will add for free.
But if people want to donate towards Bittrex you can donate to the general address on the OP.
