can someone just explain to me why soon gpu's will be of no use or far less efficient than cpu in mining this coin? what causes this?

I see people selling very large amounts of these, i suspect it could be worth holding quite a few since the block rewards are decreasing very fast. 50M may soon be very hard to mine. Look at infinite and android, these were easier to mine for much longer than this. The diff is blasting up on this one and the rewards are going way down. I saw people selling 10M for 1ltc on infinite they lost out quite badly. Quite a few gambling sites now and some pools already, get a few more utilities and no premine either on this one so actually could launch on an exchange way higher than people are offering to sell for.

Agreed. I'm holding mine. Don't forget it scrypt-jane, so not only will difficulty make these hard to get, but the nFactor will make gpu mining less worth it as well

What kind of hash rate should I expect from a 7970? I have 2.
Its showing 2.3Mhash for each card. Temps are low at I 20. only 65'C when normally they are 70'C and 80'C with regular scrypt.
