Hey Dave,

Are you also on board with Punin's shipping estimate?   Week 34 starts August 19th, right?

I should be getting first [Rev-2] M-boards on friday, so if all goes as planned, we would start shipping week 34.

Thank you for your orders and support, we're working hard to get these units in your hands asap!

Week 34 contains August 19, 2013 to August 25, 2013

Dave,

Thank you for reading this thread and keeping up with questions. We know you have much more to do than babysit this forum. It really means a bunch, especially to those of us that have been ensnared in a butterfly net, where communication and treatment was (is) a bit dismal.

Niko's rev2 M-boards still need testing.  I've got a quote in for fast turn rev 2 M's from Screaming Circuits.  If the testing goes well, I'll try to get M's made quickly enough to ship with product...

^ That or you could simply enable the hardware watchdog on the Rpi... : http://pi.gadgetoid.com/post/001-who-watches-the-watcher

The watchdog is on the BCM2708 not in the kernel space.

Do'h!  Shocked  Oh well, i've already got it setup, so I'll just use that. Thanks!  And Dave, any input on the CC question?

I think Dave is working on CC but I have no idea when new CC is coming.  I am waiting to pay by CC too.

I'm in the application process, but these are banks - everything moves slowly.

I've been using the iBoot on my rigs for over 2 years with no issues.

Find them on ebay for better pricing.

Two Questions:

Q: Have you got the CC payment system ironed out yet?

Q: Someone was wondering how to restart the Pi in case it freezes. I bought this little guy:

http://www.controlbyweb.com/webrelay-quad/

I think I paid $140 for it, and it works great for my LTC miners. After configuring it, I just hook up the normally open pins on each relay to the reset pins on each miner's motherboard. If a miner isn't responding, I go to the dynamic DNS hostname I set up, it's port forwarded on my router, and pow, I've got a web based gui with buttons to restart my miners.  Grin

Now, I won't be in a situation again where I go on a two-week vacation and one of the miners locks up on day two.  Angry

So, If I connected one of these relays (normally closed) in series to the power supply of the Rpi, will it restart the Rpi and continue to mine? It is my understanding that the Rpi does not have restart pins like a motherboard does.

I owe my soul to the Bitcoin code...
We wont know it in next 2 weeks and most likely we will get new Mboard.  If anyone need it for turn on psu with this thing http://www.seeedstudio.com/depot/atx-breakout-board-bench-power-supply-p-1222.html?cPath=1_4

Mine is cheaper. $12 shipped in US.  https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/wts-atx-psu-to-25-or-2155mm-12v-coaxial-plug-power-cables-new-product-74397     I know I know so shameless. Back to topic!

Great little compile guide jcp!!

with the RPi be capable of running USB devices attached to it such as block erupters or BFL products, or not with the custom SD firmware?

I'm leaning towards having the new M-board design made here in the states on a quick turn.  If I can't make that happen, I'll supply an appropriate cable so we don't have any confusion.

This is the post I missed, answers my question.

Any word on the PSU connectors on the M-Boards?

It looks like the normal ATX power supply powers down when it's not connected to a motherboard.  I've seen a couple of DIY solutions for wiring a up a jack to make the rails active.  Does anyone know we will need to do something like this to power the m-board and rPI?

Do you have a download link for the RPi image?

I hope Dave will post the SD image for RPi somewhere so we can revive the miner in case the SD card die ...

Is anyone considering doing a group buy with shares?  I can't swing $8k right now, but could probably do 4 or 2...  I haven't really seen anything like that offered, but would will to work with a trusted member on something if there is interest.  Probably use escrow if possible...

Thoughts?

You can just buy a starter kit and add as many Hcards that you can afford.

5 more minutes of research on my part and I see that now, thanks for a civil and helpful reply Smiley

It would be swell if there were pins even to turn on the system (I don't recall if this is on the current board - or if you have to jumper from the PSU), and super awesome if there were the ability to draw power for the Pi directly.
