Open Source FPGA for Verus 2.0 Preliminarily Qualifies for 100K $VRSC -- Pre-orders Now Open, and CPU Mining Survives!

February 14, 2019 (for immediate release) - The Verus Coin Foundation announces that Floofle Labs, working for FPGA mining card manufacturer, UKMiner, has achieved just over 1.5 times the price/performance available on the best tested CPU, an AMD Ryzen 5, 2600, with an FPGA for VerusHash 2.0. The first FPGA hardware for VerusHash 2.0, is available now for pre-order. The code will be released as open source and devices delivered without secret mining, qualifying Floofle Labs for the 100K $VRSC bounty offered by the Verus Coin Foundation. Final confirmation after delivery will be required, but Floofle Labs has made code available to the Foundation, and the Foundation expects to complete those formalities without issue.

“With VerusHash 2.0 we worked to close the gap between FPGA performance and mass-market CPUs. Reprogrammable hardware mining is inevitable, but if we achieve more economic balance and support those with a fair, open approach to progress, FPGA mining can ultimately benefit decentralization, rather than centralize to a small group of secret miners. UKMiner V1s come as PCI-x compatible cards, and can be ordered for $399 on their website (https://ukminer.io/product/verus-fpga-ukminer-v1-batch-1/). UKMiner is an independent business and is not affiliated with the Verus Coin Foundation. UKMiner V1 will ship with the VerusHash 2.0 algorithm, but can also be reprogrammed with other algorithm bitstreams as available, such as Keccakc, ZP, 0x, Tribus, Nexus, etc. Check with UKMiner for algorithm availability. UKMiner states that the V1 mines VerusHash 2.0 at 70 MH/s, running at 80 Watts.

During a developer audit, a potential security issue was recently identified and fixed. Version 0.5.5 both fixes the security issue in question immediately, and also uses this as an opportunity to include some early PBaaS functionality that while not fully enabled, will allow us to test future PBaaS functionality on the main Verus chain in the near future. There is no activation date for these fixes. They are important and immediate. There has been no exploitation of this issue yet, and to our knowledge, details are not known outside of core developers. We recommend immediate upgrade of all Verus wallets.

I guess you have allready installed the Agama Verus version wallet, right?

here a step by step guide:

- open Agama Verus version wallet
- choose on left side under "Native Mode" Verus Coin/VRSC
- wait until the chain syncs, might take some time
- on top right you should see a green button "receive", click it and go there
- now under the menu "receive" you should see on right 2 buttons, green "create invoice" and right to it an orange "get new adress", click the "get new adress" one.
- When you click the "get new adress" button you get offered 3 options on what kind of adress to choose, transparent, private adress (sapling) or legacy private adress. Choose whatever you need.
- After you clicked one of the 3 options you got you are done,  the new adress is generated and added on the same screen you are allredy.
- To copy the adress, get the priv key and some other options just click the 3 dots left of the adress which again opens a menu to let you choose from....

Hope this helped you generating a new adress.

P.S.: You only need the stealth adress for conversation of your stake rewards to be accounted into the stake. If you mine or bought your tokens you are allready perfect to stake right away.

How can i create an stealth address in Agama 0.5.3-Beta? I read in an discription that i need to the tab RECEIVE and create an Stealth Address for staking?

However, there is not any way to create a new address at the tab RECEIVE ??
