maybe i should try reinstalling?

Did you follow the instructions though? If you have an old chain, make sure you close qt/viacoind then follow the instruction on the blog.

We don't need to generate marketing hype if there is no killer app backing it up. First, build a better mousetrap. Then the people will hear about VIA through word of mouth. Cheesy premature advertising will put people off, and make this legit coin seem scammy.

I beg to differ. Apart from I think just 1 day, Viacoin has appeared on the first page of Bittrex (trade by volume) every day since launch. The price night fluctuate but trade volume is continuous.
