Clearwallet gives you your private keys when you generate an address.  If you backed that up you don't need clearwallet anymore.  If you didn't back that up, learn from this and do it next time.

Does a utility exist for Clearwallet to enumerate your private keys from your pass phrase?  This exists for Counterwallet.

I have my Clearwallet passphrase but not the private key. Can I use the phrase on any other wallet? Yes, we do live and learn.  Grin

Clearwallet.io being offline is an obvious handbrake to VIA's continued success, as long as people can't withdraw from clearwallet there will be a steady stream of complaints, and as VIA price goes up, their 'pain' intensifies.

I invest in the VIA ICO way back when this coin started as a Counterparty clone with better block time etc

I had given up following VIA when the original dev abandoned, and only now realise the project lives on, but without clearwallet features on the current roadmap.

But how can guys like me get our VIA out of clearwallet.io now?

Please help dev!!

How many VIA are trapped inside clearwallet?

Nothing is trapped in clearwallet.

How can coins be moved from clearwallet.io wallets, site is always down ...

Hey everyone, Via noob here. Is there a 64 bit windows blockchain download available anywhere? If not, how long does this sync on a modern SSD drive? Thanks!

I usually use Cryptochainer. Not sure how long it would take to sync without it.

Thank you very much, you just cut off 2 years of syncing for me!!! Cheesy

I wish you all love and profitable investments!!!
Is there any benefit for the average user that simply hold Viacoins in the wallet?

Any rewards for long-term holders? some sort of stake rewards such as other PoS/PoI coins got Harvest/Rewards/Commissions/Dividends/Fee's just for keeping the coins/tokens inside the wallet..

Someone said: Why sell what is growing in price? Is the rise in prices not a reward for shareholders?

Security of owning your coins.  No this is a pow scrypt coin.  There are no rewards to hold your coins in your own wallet but it is highly recommended as with any other coin.

anyone else having problem with Poloniex? I deposited VIA 24 hrs ago and haven't showed up yet, its showing 717 confirmations already.

I had the same a couple of days ago, it turned out to be that the transaction was not broadcasted to the network at all, how a transaction can show confirmations while it has not been broadcasted is something I can't explain.
You can take a look with the block-explorer if the TXID exists on the network, which in my case it didn't.

I solved it by reverting back to wallet ver. 0.10.11 and a doing a zapwallettxes, the coins that were in limboland came back in my wallet and I did another deposit. Another possibility is to push the raw transaction on the network via another wallet, you have to use another wallet otherwise you will get a message that the transaction already exists.

I have the impression that this problem occurs when there is a bad connection to the network at the time you send the transaction and close the wallet afterwards.

Like the dev. said on the Telegram app it is probably safer to use the ver. 0.10.11 wallet till the issues with ver. 0.13.2 are solved, which is a beta version anyway.

Thanks for the reply yeah the problem is the 0.13.2 wallet , I reverted back to 0.10.11 I had to resync from the beginning as it says database is corrupted ,not to bad as it only took 6+ hrs to fully sync , now my coins showing at Polo.

stupid question - is there any way to extract the private key for the addresses used in the Viacoin core wallet? I didnt find any way doing so or any other way to recover in case the wallet gets lost.

You can use 'dumpprivkey viacoin-address' from the console window. If your wallet is protected by a password you first have to unlock it with 'walletpassphrase password'

viacoin client menu -> help -> debug window -> console

to export private key, type this in console command line:
dumpprivkey "viacoinaddress"

to import private key, type this in console command line:
importprivkey "viacoinprivkey"
