Connor, some intel from the front...

Started mining at 18:10 with 547 KH/s and found my first block at 20:55, so approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes for the first block, keeping with your stated 1 - 4 hour window.

Also, some T1000 units spotted coming up from the south disguised as Kim Kardashian, just thought you should be aware...

n00bs i'm not sure why you're here, but i kinda think it's my civic duty to help our working-mom/dev bring his babe into the waiting world.

please do stay with us tho ...   Cheesy

[edit] remember this is opensourceville. (not to jump the gun, i hope this will be always open sourced) dev is dev, not owner boss or master  Shocked Shocked

Agreed. We must help defend Skynet Vanillacoin until it is able to become self-aware and online.

Oh it's all good I can take a joke as good as the next bro Smiley I'm not one of those easily offended pissed off hides behind my computer kinda guys lol but yes I support this coin and the goals that are gonna be accomplished by it

Wow, this is the most entertaining thread I have read in a long time, all 22 pages of non-stop comedy. Wink

Anyway, this does look interesting and I will definitely give it a shot, heck I am even participating in the test environment as I type this. I figure even if this would turn out to be a dud, the few $ in hash I am throwing at it is far cheaper than the $40 comedy club admission.
It is quite entertaining that is for sure Smiley

When testing will end?
From what I gather we will officially have the launch of this coin december 23rd at 5 am or something like that
If we have enough testers and the statistical data looks good after the weekend then yes the launch will not be pushed back any further. If a major problem is found then it will be pushed back again. I have confidence in the latest algorithm changes, however there are not many testers on the network so please throw all of your spare CPU's at this test so there is enough statistical data. Cool

Thank you for your support.

Testing Update:

I've made changes to the solo mining fairness and Proof-of-Stake algorithms. The blockchain MUST start over this round of testing. You MUST delete the contents of the Vanillacoin directory or the software will throw an exception and crash. With the changes made you should not expect your first block for at least one to four hours from the start of mining. Restarting your client will slow down this initial process. Proof-of-Stake now begins after 8 hours after block maturity and has been made more energy efficient. Also, I have added greater protection from Bot Nets or people who rent hundreds or thousands of servers to try to game the system.

You can download the binaries here:

Thank you for your support.
So this again is another testing mining phase thingy? We wont be able to keep any of our coins that we mine from this right? We won't be able to actually start keeping the coins we mined until the actual launch on december 23rd right? at 5am? I just wanna make sure I'm clear about this here Smiley

Grin This is just a test. And its just test coins. No use for them.
