x crowd, any news about customs into the US? Would we also have to pay any duties ect? or do those prices cover import costs?

Unfortunately you will have to cover your own custom duties and import tax. We will try to get the price lowered as much as possible at our side but again; it's out of our hands.

If you guys can't even open in time why should we trust you to deliver asics on time? Sure there is escrow but having your money held up on something and then having it not arrive is not exactly ideal. This is getting ridiculous and is looking like it won't be up today. Please prove me wrong though.

Well to be fair to them - they haven't made an entire new thread commenting on the upcoming news release yet like some of the other toolbags..

So until that is done.. I wouldn't expect much..

Elsewhere in the real world, putting down a deposit of 10% is considered reasonable, for items that can't be bought off the shelf. Why can't mining equipment have a similar scheme?

It could, but as long as a percentage of investors are willing to offer 0% interest loans for pre-ordered vaporware, why shouldn't vendors take advantage?

Labcoin should have some products on hand to sell to customers by September.  They are doing pre-orders on bulk chips, though. but not until they actually have their chips in hand, which should be in just a few days.  Obviously they need to know how many chips to order from the fab.

And is there no set in stone time for launch? Or is it just when it's ready?

Also are we going to see more information on the specific units on launch because myself and probably a lot of other low level miners are interested in the Arsia 15gh/s model.

Anyways here is to hoping that this affordable miner works out better than most other asic companies have provided.

The specs on the available units will be on our website soon along with expected delivery dates.

So with the option of only paying 30% at a 10% premium into escrow are we going to get the premium back as well if we decide we want a refund?

Yes. The escrow fee is the only fee/expense that isn't refundable (out of our hands).
