Thanks for the update. I will keep checking in from time to time and see how things are going.
Not sure how Yobit even stays running? Seems like everything is in maintenance... and because of that I would not trust them with any coins!
I see there is also still trading on https://exchange.thecoin.pw/exchange I check there often to see how the alt coins are doing. Little movement here and there but have used them for a couple years and been happy with them for a small exchange. Just needs more activity.
I used to mine XJO on that site for many months with one of the S9 units until I was happy with the amount of XJO I have now. Just waiting now to see if we can better use this coin in the future with hopefully better value that will attract others as well.

Thanks

Yes, I agree!

The info on coin market cap needs to be updated, web site goes to Jouleco.in then all the others seem fine. Announcement comes here and source code goes to github.

if that is the new website it probably should be known to everyone. many of us still had the old one book marked that is now dead.

Thanks

Hello.
I actually tried to get the joulecoin.info website added to CoinMarketCap, but I was denied since I didn't have any official statement e.g. from the Joulecoin Twitter feed.

Currently, there are things that might be more urgent. But things are stable, although the market is in a dire situation since now also Nova has ceased their trading.
Never the less, we are happy to still be with NLexch! Their platform is near state of the art, and very pleasant to use; Although their withdrawal fees may be a little high.

Should technically add this on the website, but as usual YoBit doesn't work. Checked now and the funds I deposited a long time ago has not arrived.
I have actually sent them multiple e-mails giving them explicit instructions on how to get their node up and running, but as a user recalled here earlier they have probably put it in maintenance deliberately; Probably due to low trading volume.

For our miners, I am very grateful for those staying with us. Thank you.

Hello XJO Friends,

Just checking in to see how things are going. I see the website is totally down now? "says account suspended" Sad

Are we still active? The block chain still seems to be moving and mining is working. Just been out of the loop for a few months so checking where things are at and if any new info is around about XJO.

Thanks LS

Due to few bumps along the way... cryptopia and Yobit... whats the Value of JouleCoin now. I see the range being  allover the place...anyone selling any and whats the asking price?
Hope everyone is well

Hey, Akaro. Most of XJO's volume is on exchange.thecoin. With a little on Nova.

7-6 sats on exchange.thecoin.

Still low volume, but much better than a month or two ago.

So, Yobit is still in a world of its own. But has anyone noticed that trading on Nova has fallen in line with exchange.thecoin? So we now have (real) volume on two exchanges.

EDIT https://www.nlexch.com/markets/xjobtc -- and some stirring here.

I'm following the LibreSSL thing with interest.

But dropped in to note that volume on exchange.thecoin.pw is puddling along. The price is still shifting about -- so it makes it harder to put bigger bids up -- but there are buys and sells every day.

Greeting XJO lovers, I have taken an interest in this project thanks to IMZ, was having a bit of trouble building the joulecoin wallet so I created a fork on github and applied the following small fixes:

https://github.com/Shinoa-Fores/joulecoin/commit/c2983f8d6a74fca82a7581dd34275e869d17a94c

https://github.com/Shinoa-Fores/joulecoin/commit/84d7651604b4c2752722f4628af26571327f35cb  #only necessary for linux users using hardened+nomultilib kernels, but compiler warnings can safely be ignored.

These allowed me to build a wallet from source using gcc version 7.3.0 on Gentoo linux. It complains during the `./configure` step because I use LibreSSL, but will still compile using the `--with-libressl` flag, though this is also a simple enough fix, and I may publish the changes to github if anyone requests.

All in all a nice altcoin. I look forward to experimenting with it more with IMZ.  Cool

Where can i find your version with correction for LibreSSL ??

I cant install it on my pool because of that this is really frustrating ...

thanks !

Hello there.

I have made a fix for LibreSSL, but tests are not working.
So, you will have to compile without them.

https://github.com/dalslandan200/joulecoin/tree/0.10.4.2-libreSSL

Update:
When running ./configure autoconf thinks LibreSSL is installed on the system, except when it's not.
This happens when you have installed openSSL >= Version 1.1.0

I have made a new branch which reflects the issue more clearly, and tests are now also fixed.
This branch is specific for openSSL >= Version 1.1.0

To check OpenSSL version:
Code:
root@ubuntu:~# openssl version
OpenSSL 1.1.0g  2 Nov 2017 (Library: OpenSSL 1.1.1  11 Sep 2018)

https://github.com/dalslandan200/joulecoin/tree/openSSL-fix
