Greeting XJO lovers, I have taken an interest in this project thanks to IMZ, was having a bit of trouble building the joulecoin wallet so I created a fork on github and applied the following small fixes:

https://github.com/Shinoa-Fores/joulecoin/commit/c2983f8d6a74fca82a7581dd34275e869d17a94c

https://github.com/Shinoa-Fores/joulecoin/commit/84d7651604b4c2752722f4628af26571327f35cb  #only necessary for linux users using hardened+nomultilib kernels, but compiler warnings can safely be ignored.

These allowed me to build a wallet from source using gcc version 7.3.0 on Gentoo linux. It complains during the `./configure` step because I use LibreSSL, but will still compile using the `--with-libressl` flag, though this is also a simple enough fix, and I may publish the changes to github if anyone requests.

All in all a nice altcoin. I look forward to experimenting with it more with IMZ.  Cool

Where can i find your version with correction for LibreSSL ??

I cant install it on my pool because of that this is really frustrating ...

thanks !

The price has been shifting about, but XJO is definitely gaining traction on exchange.thecoin.pw.

XJO's 'tx comms' are a great asset. Anyone want to practise with them?

(You could run an entire 'DNM' on the XJO blockchain.)

'Markets have been slow, and Cryptopia being gone have definitely made its impact.
Mining power have also decreased due to market situation, but we are very grateful for our persistent miners (much love).'

Thanks so much, dals. Let's see how our market goes on the new exchange.

Afternoon everyone.

I have updated the website with all our current working exchanges and added the mobile wallet there too. (I have been very slow, sorry for that.)

The mobile wallet however doesn't currently display any USD amount due to insufficient market data at CoinGecko, since I use them as first API query.

Markets have been slow, and Cryptopia being gone have definitely made its impact.
Mining power have also decreased due to market situation, but we are very grateful for our persistent miners (much love).

I will keep contributing with what I can, and if anyone wants to help me. Reach out to me.

Thanks!

Tee hee, I popped in to post:

Most of the orders at around 60 sats on Yobit are gone -- sold into. That's good. It bring the Fake Market of Yobit a little in line with our only real pair, on exchange.thecoin.pw

Hello, Yobit is not technically a scam exchange. Their problem is that they host too many coins to deal with. They currently host over 400 coins! That is an insane amount of technical details including hard forks, updates, splits, swaps etc. And on top of all that insane work load, we have been having a bear market for much more than one year!

If anyone requires to withdraw or deposit joulecoin on yobit, make a polite support ticket requesting it. They will turn on the wallet and bring it out of maintenance. If the wallet requires updating, use the developer request form. Be polite and patient. If a coin is not currently being traded, the wallet will be put back into maintenance to save resources.

I suggest doing small test withdrawals and deposits, just to make sure it is working.

Hey, diorthotis! I recognise you from exchange.thecoin.pw. Nice to see you here.

But pardon my frankness: I had experience with Yobit several years ago, and have been watching it since. And I have no doubt whatsoever that it's a scam exchange. I don't think the Ons and Offs of the wallets are entirely accidental. And they regularly host the most shiteful p-n-d coins.

In respect of exchanges, the wise choice is: if an exchange shows signs of scamminess, treat it as scammy.

FYI:
appears yobit withdrawal is open.  They are synced to "Wallet status: Online (3555461 blocks)" while wallet and block explorer both show 4071841 Mon May 27 22:00:26 2019.  The address supplied by yobit doesn't show in block explorer, so I am assuming they are on a different XJO chain than the main/current chain.

EDIT:
Sent a test Amount and address shows in BE, not expecting it to arrive anytime soon since its 500k blocks behind, but will update in future if it does.

Thanks for this. Would much appreciate an update -- the Wallet in Maintenance scam has been going on for at least years.

A worrying drop in price -- 'crash' is a more honest word -- on exchange.thecoin and Nova: https://novaexchange.com/market/BTC_XJO/

Akaro!! Nice to see you here.

Update finally. Just looked today and noticed it did arrive to Yobit a few days ago on 2019-06-20 (sent 2019-05-27).  Have checked their wallet several times in the last month and never saw it out of maintenance mode.

I'm gonna be a hard case on this: Yobit is a scam exchange. We should stay away from it.

Hello, XJO's  community!

Let's trade on Nova and increase volume!
Good coin and good exchange!

Please go hard on Nova, AIUz. And a tiny bit of volume has turned up on exchange.thecoin.

The Cryptopia situation has hit hard indeed.
I have been looking for other exchanges to get listed on, but currently with no success. (Mostly because of listing fee, and high volume requirement.)

I have sent an message to YoBit, and explaining why their node isn't up-to-date.

Checked Yobit today -- I won't trade there, but I have an account -- and our wallet is off-line again.

Checked YoBit today, and appears as if they are updating their wallet.

Message when trying to get deposit address:
Deposit is temporarily disabled because wallet status is Maintenance

If the wallet update is successfully done, all the coins which were missing earlier should be available (in-time) in your YoBit account.*
* Since they had a backlog due to their wallet being unable to sync correctly to latest Block-height.
TheCoin has xjo listed but no one trading it there. Yobit is saying the wallet is under maintenance but that is the same as many other wallets there and yet they still trade those coins. I been waiting on yobit for awhile now to fix the xjo wallet and several others. For now I guess its sit on the coins and hope.

Hey ya, dals. Betcha you don't get a reply from Yobit! They aren't really into communication -- but XJO is being traded there today:
