This is fucked. Wallet Generated 4 invalid stakings transactions in a row!!!!

Since I feel a little at fault for this exploit being overused, I went ahead and sent you the 0.03946617 XMG difference of the invalid stakes to the wallet in your signature.

Coin of the Magi!
Decision was made Huh
by joelao95

nice community coin !
free and very " dezentral"

magi is joelao95 own petro coin

Well the coin is originally designed with PoW, such decision was built in. People like to have alternative, there was already an option that Noblecoin who stopped PoW and we offered magi's codebase and PoS. It's not about how many people own the coin make it decentralization; we advertise idea in the website that has to be with original design, or we make us real dead. At this point, yes, I seem to the main one making the direction. Out there are free to make things like coin initial distribution, chain swap, such like, I do want to make sure we're down to the original way, that I believe (certainly personal optinion) is the way going.

https://youtu.be/9dPeMXr23i4?t=1h11m23s

this make sense

so the main issue is weak legit hashpower compared to
hostile hashpower

as long as u dont fix that this attack vector will stay valid

remove POW issue is fixed

plain and simple

fuck traditions if they are bad

@cryptonit, we respect suggestions, but here magi will never remove PoW. Decision was made, and I wish all future proposals are brewed under this circumstance. I'm sure people have different opinions, and reasonably one would figure association with PoW dooms to be a failure, let it be, I would barely argue.

Devs you better start getting your asses into gear. if a pool like bullmining shuts down other pools will start to follow and if that happens the coin is fucked!

I been saying this since late December that this will start to happen soon

Everyone is getting sick and tired of this shit and its taking too long to fix the problem

PLEASE, STOP CRY!

Because of the ongoing attack on the MAGI-Network the pool runs constantly into serveral errors. We are going down on 05/10/2018 until the issue is solved by the developer. Please withdraw your coins as soon as possible.

What Pool?

Username = bullmining
So, i would guess it's this pool: https://xmg.bullmining.com/index.php
But no guarantee that I'm right.  Wink

I know it is uber fantastic idea, but what if you make the coin mineable only with... linux. It sounds a bit stupid even for me, but it can solve a problem - remove botnets. There are no linux botnets around. It seems a bit fantastic, but can make coin profitable.
I am fully agree with you. Only with "it sounds a bit stupid")

POW mining on CPU algo is 100% unpromising for small miners. Botnets with ability to program any tasks they will solve not leave any chance to end users with CPU power to profit. Any part of such botnets available for rent on darknet.
POW part of MAGI protocol using to create new coins. It can't be removed, probably. My advice is to look on current most popular GPU algos and choise best for replacing current CPU algo.

Coin of the Magi!
hello,

plaese joe change the algo a bit so all the non CPU miners are fucked.

gr xms

There are many down on the road looking for better mining experiences and some are in active development. Let's recommend what optional algo that can fulfill well?

Very large hashing power is (I think) a required part of his attack, but it's not the whole thing. He is exploiting a weakness in the code which is specific to Magi. I have no idea what that weakness is, but I suspect Joe does. Relax, it will be fixed.

POS only? That creates a different problem. People with large amount of Magi will be getting big rewards, those with very little will be basically getting nothing. That's hardly fair either, is it? Also remember that POS coins CAN be attacked.
