Funny thing about this is i started looking into the magi coin so i can earn money while i worked at a deli im tired of working its stressful but in a small town where you cant get a job you take what you can get no matter how miserable you are. i am hoping this is fixed so i can figure if its worth buying more raspberry pi 3b+ to mine in a cluster with a solar setup.

Who else not understanding my graphical explanation about POW mining?
If you will be 10+ noobs, I will try to explain simplier, but how simplier it can be?)

Also want to notice, I do not owe anything to anyone. You must be happy that I am writing here for you.

One answer: show us the numbers. I did. We did. You have not.
not everyone here has high kh/s some here have below 40 kh/s and some dont see a return for all the mining that they are doing. For me since i started in march till today i have earned 10 coins thats not encouraging where when i started on my first day i got 1 coin in 8 hrs while i was at work. i would like others want to earn more but dont see how we are gaining anything but less than what has gotten orphaned. Not everyone is as smart as you, and may need way more information to understand thats what everyone is wanting.

Huh, still waiting on these "rewards" you talk about.  Seems like your the only one cashing in.
I second that.

Instead of a smart ass answer, why don't you explain to us that are not the genius you are.  Don't think that's to much to ask.  I'm not the Dev, I am just one of the many getting fucked.

What's that about not wasting CPU cycles? Orphan percentages as of 11:45am est

Graphic explanation of reason why all POW miners must jump in a frenzy and pray with love when see starting orphan block period:

And about devaluation
I am add 0.06% avg to moneysupply every day. It is not so much in fact that soon dev will fix it.

Is anybody left who not understand about reason why all POW miners must love my orphans?)

I don't really care for devaluation, or wasted CPU cycles for that matter.

Today will write expanded post about devaluation (to make clear that nothing to worry) and about reason why miners have not "wasted CPU cycles" but have more rewards than usual with my orphans.

Hey, if any Dev's read this, I'd be interested in helping fix the code base. I have experience with C and C++, and like solving logical/mathematical problems. If you are already working on the fix, I'd be interested in adding my efforts to the codebase, instead of trying to track down and fix the bug myself, which I am strongly tempted to do.

u need no invite its open source code and submit ur proposal on github

But the repository owner needs to approve the pull requests into the main branch. If Joe's not around, nobody's doing anything to the codebase.

joe is around

I've heard a few rumors that he is working on a fix. If I started trying to fix it, I'd be starting from scratch on a codebase where I have little experience.

I would rather here something from him, not rumors. Seeing how many people are being screwed but this.

Why wallet is "Not staking" even if it is unlocked and posii=1? It was staking earlier, but then ceased.

Few words about inflation.

Formal inflation builded in current protocol of MAGI is:
15 POW blocks/h another words 15 x 24 x 40 XMG = 14400 XMG/24H

Botnets (I never haven't it) a long time ago lowered inflation to about 800 XMG/24H (+-20%)
Current inflation, including my blocks, not bigger normal builded by dev inflation.

I skiped POS inflation because it unsignificant.

Okay, this is going to sound like a noob question, but what things can cause an orphaned block? If my memory serves me well, I remember there was a hack back in January where a miner was mining blocks in the future, which caused orphaned blocks. However, that doesn't seem to be the problem in this vulnerability. What I'm thinking is that pools and solo-miners are getting the wrong information somehow, so when they go to submit the "solution" to the blockchain, all the nodes are declining the block, resulting in orphans. However, when going through the blocks that Minerclaim "found", they seem to have been finding blocks of back-to-back orphans. This is the same deal with Trasmamod, but the difficulty of the block submitted by Minerclaim was not the same.

For example, block #1796062.

Minerclaim:
Quote
Block       Status       Finder        Date                          Difficulty       Reward    Expected Shares    Actual Shares    Percent
1796062    Orphan    mejaime    04/30/2018 03:48:27    0.1098              1.78      7,196                     4,662               64.79

Trasmamod:
Quote
Block       Status       Finder        Date                          Difficulty       Reward    Expected Shares    Actual Shares    Percent
1796062    Orphan    wing7        04/30/2018 03:40:02       0.4066            1.61    26,648                  165,958             622.78

If I had to make an educated guess, I'd say that the pools and solo-miners are getting blasted with incorrect information, causing them to provide incorrect block solutions and allowing a path for Vitalik's botnet to submit the correct one. However, my explanation does not explain how he can get anywhere between 15 to 45 XMG for each block.

And yes. At one point, 9LvDoEhev9aVgskEQNrqgnXTQVb6rnaP1m was one of you're main wallets. However, I see that you've divided all your money into many wallets to fly under the radar. Who are you trying to kid?

I'm mining at the moment, I just wanted to know if I should keep the my wallet running focused on minting or not.

For Proof of Stake minting? I don't see why not, especially if your current setup is powerful enough to get a decent hashrate. I would highly recommend mining in a pool like Minerclaim until the vulnerability that our resident thief uses is eventually patched.

Even if you're not mining, I'd still recommend keeping the Wallet running to keep it's local blockchain (ie, the copy of the Magi blockchain that your wallet uses to confirm transactions and keep it's interface data up to date) synced with the global blockchain.

doesnt mean anything if its local or not i am getting invalid generated stakings as well.
