To this end, Magi, aiming at fairness, cost effective and energy efficiency, strives for every single effort to make mining be available to everyone, and provides an even playing field for people looking to issue digital coins without expensive equipment.

That's the true key to cryptocurrency in my eyes. It has to be CPU viable while also limiting hackers who have botnets from accumulating large control over the supply. GPU has become something which people can't reasonably get into whether it be the upfront capital or the huge amount of electricity being used. MAGI has survived and thrived a long time. Definitely bookmarking to do further reading on this, but I think I was around when MAGI first came out  Grin

It makes sense and that was also the reason why I got into XMG, but at present we are being attacked by a bot-Net or so, with large computing power. Sad
I hope Magi will still be around, when you do your further reading.  Wink Cry

Anyone use TrasMaMod? I cant edit my account settings....

Check the email that you used to sign up for your Trasmamod account for a code.

I clicked the link in the email and I signed in through there and then go to edit and the button is red now and unclickable...Weird. Maybe just issues on there for now. I will wait a while and try it again.

Sorry to hear that - I hope things get sorted out soon - I'm not mining right now - just staking as much as I can to help reduce the number of orphaned blocks

Yeah, I would do so too, but I only have 3 coins.

Same here. If the orphaned blocks would have counted, I would have over 17. lol.

Yeah - not so fun to mine these days - I earn most XMG from trading now, I'm sure things will be better again soon things seem to come and go in waves with Magi =)

What do you mean by trading?

I keep getting orphaned blocks from Trasmamod. I don't know if this is because the botnet attack or what, but I'm starting to get ticked off.

As i transfered 133 coins in order to cryptopia. That they still have possibly not credited all of us or taken care of immediately my services ticket.

That is so weird. I have never had one issue with Cryptopia.
All my transactions have been smooth.

Hi sins i cant mine at the time (Pool is stopped due to multiple successful attacks on the blockchainl) i'm trying to stake my coins all 73 of them.
But i'm not shure if i'm doing it right, i have followed this guide: http://telegra.ph/MAGI-PROOF-OF-STAKE-MINTING-MANUAL-01-09 and i have now been staking for 2 days (48 hours) and still nothing has changed in my wallet? it started saying that expected earnings would take about 1 day, then 2 days?
The only thing i have added to the .conf file is posii=1 do i need to add more? ore dos this just take time?

Is there again an Attack going on Poolhashrate  on minerClaim
Pool Hashrate
45,527.42 KH/s

Rewards around 40

 Undecided Undecided Undecided

Not good - looks like a botnet again - can't see how they can make much profit by doing that

It's true but, more and more miners are leaving / going offline, now the attacks take less hashrate.  Cry
